Don’t call Apple Support, take it to a store. Cause if you ask about whether there’s a repair program for your model computer the idiot on the phone will look at the list of programs and say no.

I took in 3 computers earlier this year for swollen batteries that were about 2 years old with no apple care and it was covered.

Often that kind of thing pops up if you’ve had any kind of service. Cause usually it’s only the original part that is covered. So if you had the battery replaced already for any reason, it might not be eligible

I have always put my Pro to sleep and pulled the plug, in light of the recent news and pictures of the fire/explosion to a user's Pro that was in sleep/unplugged, do you put more stress on the computer by a complete shut down every day?

Just got my 2015 MacBook Pro back from authorised service centre. It took them 6 days and they replaced the entire top case with battery for free under this recall program. Now my MacBook looks brand new! Excellent service from Apple as always!
Hello! I've had my macbook pro 15" mid 2015 back from Apple (ireland I guess) But they didn't change the top case I have the same keyboard and the battery have 0 cycle battery... It's weird... They've changed the battery without changing the top case? O_O

UPDATE: I read some other stuff about it https://www.reddit.com/r/macbookpro...ent_battery_repairs_for_the_same_mbp/esd1xew/

Hi,

My Mbp is on the affected list and I got a recall email as well, however my mbp took a bit of a fall earlier this year and now has a debt of the bottom left corner (we are talking dent on the lid, dent on the retina screen, and dents on the top and bottom of the keyboard casing)

Mbp works fine, I was just wondering if apple would still repair it under the battery replacement program?

Thanks in advance for any and all help
