The thing that bothers me, is he has I think 3 years on this contract, he signed it as an adult for a boatload of money. Because other people are getting more now, he wants to hold out and force the seahawks to dump more money. Bad precedent if they do.

I hope the seakawks stand firm on this

As do I. Kam signed the contract, and he should live up to it.

I'm with you. I understand if you're nearing the end of your contract but Kam just signed an extension in 2013 with three years remaining. He's not even halfway through the extension. Seattle is in a tough spot. Obviously it's just one game but if the defense doesn't recover and Kam is the missing piece, what do you do?

The Seahawks should stand firm, Kam has a signed contract and he needs to accept that and rejoin the team. I heard that he missed a $270,000 paycheck since he didn't play against the Rams. I think the Seahawks can wait him out.

Jeez. Quarter of a million. He's going to miss the next game as well. That's just a little over half a million. Athletes these days...LOL

The funniest thing was his tweet "1-0" before the game even stared. Don't really have anything against the seahawks; they're a great team+have earned that, but I hope the packers crush them.

As for the bills, I'm excited. Always liked rex ryan, and he gave the pats trouble early when he was with the jets. Exciting game.

Knowing Wilson he wasn't predicting a victory. He was just doing his "one game at a time" thing. I don't think he was being brash like the other players that do that in the NFL.

But like aaronvan said KC wasn't the problem.
Seattle has two major problems right now.

The offensive line is rebuilt. Seattle did get enough points to win that game but the offensive line allowed 6 sacks.
The other problem they have is the new defensive coordinator. He needs to go.

Tweeting "1-0" isn't predicting a victory? C'mon man!! That's the definition of brash. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, except you kind of look stupid after a loss, but more power to all of the confidence he has! I know you want to think he's a perfect, vanilla dude, but all of these guys have egos. Wilson isn't any different.

If Tom Brady tweeted the same thing he would be getting crucified.

So, the offensive line gives up six sacks, but the offensive line coach can stay. The Seahawks lose one game and the new defensive coordinator has to go?

Agreed. @Peace is delusional if he actually believed that crap he wrote.

Not sure about that. The Pats are 1-0.

Russell Wilson tweeted out "1-0" before the game. If you don't think people who aren't from New England wouldn't crucify Brady if he tweeted something like that before a game you don't pay very good attention.

Like I said, I don't think there's anything wrong with being confident, but there's definitely a double standard. If Tom Brady dodged the media like Marshawn Lynch does, he would also be crucified.

I have no illusion of Wilson being perfect, vanilla dude. In an earlier post I called him a snake oil salesman.

Yes. The offensive line is kind of new. They will get better. The defense has been together for a few years.

I don't believe what he wrote was him saying they were going to win if thats what you mean. If he did mean it he was stupid.

Brady still sucks..

I totally get what you are saying and I know that Wilson tweeted it out before the game. I guess I just think it would be funny from a "if your gonna talk smack you better be able to back it up" kinda way. People would surely have something to say if Brady did something like that, but "swagger" is one of those tricky things. In some players I think swagger is really annoying and it comes across arrogant, but in other players I really like it and it comes across more as confidence. What makes the difference, I'm not sure? In some players it feels mean spirited while in others it feels like good natured competition. I'm not bothered at all by Wilson's tweet and I like him as a player. Sadly, it blew up in his face and they are 0-1.

Seahawks QB mouths often write checks that the team can't cash. Remember the playoffs and Matt Hasselbeck saying, “We want the ball, and we’re going to score?” Well, Green Bay intercepted and won 33-27.

Of course, Joe Namath promised victory and came though. I guess the point is that if you're going to talk the talk, you better walk the walk.

So how do you think Manning's play went last night. I didn't see the entire game but the first half was rather shaky for him, though he did start to get his mojo back bit

the broncos suck and if it weren't for stupid ass turnovers they would/should have lost. a tipped pass at the line of scrimmage interception and a late fumble.

the AFC West is up for grabs if someone would simply grab it. KC beat themselves. i don't think SD has got the horses or the gumption to win the west, and the Raiders are horrible.

the broncos being mediocre will be enough to win it again.

lol. i wish that were true. "Tuck Bowl" aside i think he has proven himself. even the Great Joe Montana had detractors who claimed it was the coach or the west coast offense that made the 49ers win. but joe had to make a few plays very so often.

I wouldn't say the Broncos suck or are even mediocre, They have alot of talent on that team, their pass rushers are pretty damn good, demaryus Thomas is an absolute beast as you saw in that final drive last night, Sanders is flying around out there and always seems to be open..... They have good corners and say what you will about Manning but the man is still a field general out there, even though his arm has lost some strength he could still win some games with his brain. The one weakness is there offensive line though, but every team has a few weaknesses even the superbowl contenders.

Even at his age and with 3 neck surgeries Manning throws the ball downfield farther than dink and dunk Smith.

The Broncos defense has won the last 2 games for them, no doubt about it. That said, they got 5 turnovers last night, 2 from Charles. That is great defense, in my book. The offense is looking shaky to start the season, but hopefully they will come around.

Anybody that supports Donald Trump for president sucks.
salt

anyway, apparently I am unable to stream this game on CBS even though the channel is free on the airwaves. that being said broncos won by 1 touchdown even after 5 turnovers? doesn't seem like theyre a strong team. this is like a watered down version of the 09 nfc championship game between vikings and saints. saints beat the vikings by 3 points despite 5 turnovers by the vikings (including that awful last pick by favre although ill be honest..they wouldn't have been in that position if it wasn't for adrian petersons 2 or 3 fumbles).
