jets secondary looks good better than the legion of boom, (maybe) but whats good about defense when the offense is a bit shaky? Indy played horrible throughout the whole game.

I don't think the offense is shaky, they dropped 31 on a good Browns defense. Tonight they slowed down because they went conservative play calling too early to run out the clock and keep Luck off the field, but when the Colts scored they came right back and put together a TD scoring drive.

What happened to Indy, I mean they crushed the Broncos in the playoffs last year and then after that they looked like a completely different team. They lost to the Pats, and started this season the same way just looking flat and mediocre.

This game reminded me of the GB vs SEA game, Indy had opportunities if they didn't miss that fg, and a bunch of fumbles. Jets D last night made the Legion of Boom look mediocre lol. I can't wait for the Pats to play them.

The NFL through two weeks:
1. Some teams aren't as good as we anticipated and some team aren't as bad as we anticipated.
2. Injuries, injuries, injuries...

Stupid Andrew Luck, 3 picks and a fumble!

pissed off Brady and the Pats are probably going to hang 75 points on the colts week 6. Colts fans should go apple picking that Sunday o_O

The trend in the preseason is continuing at an alarming rate. I'm not a cowboys fan, but that just sucks what happened to Romo. He's a really good QB and to see him taken out of the game that way is awful.

Soft team, bad coaching, Andrew luck overrated. Jets looked good though (really miss Revis :(). And I'd never thought I'd say that.

raiders won...?

i'm not gonna get used to it ...

I think they may get some recent Bay Area mojo and give us football for our area. I don't expect the Niners to do anything for the bay so all hopes will be on the Raiders.

Everywhere I go there's this sustained hope which I have never witnessed like this since '72-'76 with A's/Warriors/Raiders and five championship seasons in those sports. People are already expecting Raiders to go all the way and are donning their gear expecting a great season. There's no question in the minds of many just like earlier this year when they proudly wore Warriors gear knowing Curry would help take them all the way, and how many Bay Area sports fans just knew deep down inside that the Giants were baseball's next great dynasty. To match those amazing great years of the '70s in norcal, a fifth championship for our area capping a great 2010-2015 sports rampage would be nice and the Raiders have what it takes. Why let Boston or New York spend a ton of time winning and going to sports parades?

Kam Chancellor has returned to the Seahawks.

"Ima go help my teammates that are understanding of my position and the ones who aren't," Chancellor said in a text message to Smith. "God forgives all, why can't i? Time to help us get back to the big dance. I can address business after the season. Me and Marshawn started a mission 2 years ago. I can't let my Dawg down....Real talk."

What an arrogant puke. "Understanding of my position" - I want to renegotiate a contract that I signed and which still has 3 years remaining on it.

ESPN.com said:
Chancellor signed a four-year, $28 million extension after the 2012 season, but the deal didn't take effect until 2013. The Seahawks refused to budge on restructuring a contract that had three years remaining, asserting that it would lead to a stream of players seeking new deals in the early stages of their contracts.

In missing Seattle's first two games, Chancellor forfeited two game checks of $267,647. It is unclear whether the organization will waive the three-time Pro Bowler's fines for skipping training camp.

I'm glad the Seahawks stood firm.

ESPN.com said:
The Seahawks already have kept Chancellor's first two game checks, totaling $535,294. They have the right to demand $1.11 million in fines, which is the accumulation of a $30,000 daily penalty for missing training camp as prescribed in the NFL's collective bargaining agreement. And they also could seek a payback of a prorated portion of Chancellor's 2013 signing bonus of $5 million.

Add it all up and you're talking about $2,135,294 for missing training camp and two regular-season games. That means Chancellor would net $2,414,706 this season after failing to improve what would have been a salary of $4.55 million.

Frequently in the case of veteran holdouts, teams forgive the training camp fines provided the player reports in time for the regular season. To do so for Chancellor would set a new market precedent: Holdouts into the regular season wouldn't be nearly as costly as once calculated.

I hope the Seahawks go after all of the fines, signing bonus, etc. they can.

I am glad he's back as I'm sure the team is.

As far as the fines etc. Seattle could wave the fines and use it as bargaining with him in the future.

My only concern is whether or not he is in shape to start Sunday because Seattle's defense has really missed that 2 time pro bowl safety. And it showed in the past 2 games.

They never do. While technically they can ask for 2 games worth of signing bonus, they won't, never mind expecting him to pay the fines from his hold out.

I know they won't collect the fines. But it would be nice to see his arrogance cost him more than the $500,000 salary he missed.

I see on espn they have
"Don't count out Giants' Eli Manning just yet"

I think its premature to say that the Giants have fixed all their issues. They did play the Redskins after all.

Agreed, the Redskins are a terrible team. With all the injuries that Dallas has, and as bad as Philadelphia and Washington look, I wouldn't be too surprised to see New York win the NFC East.

Same will occur is any of the 0-2 teams (well the good 0-2 teams) win this weekend. I mean just look at who Seattle is playing. They're all but guaranteed a win, yet that doesn't really indicate that they're firing on all cylinders.
