He shoved it out. It was a blatant foul and the back judge was looking right at it!

Show me where he "shoved" it out. The guy barely touched it.

AND it was going out the end zone anyway.

"When you slow it down, yeah, it could have gone the other way," he said. "But look at it in normal speed and how the play actually happened. Anybody sitting on their couch at home can say, ‘Well, I would have done it.’ It happened so gracefully. He did just a little tap on the ball, and it’s over in the direction it was going. It was going out anyway. So you can see why the guy maybe didn’t see the thing."

And The Lions only knew it was a foul AFTER they were told by the ESPN crew.

He admitted to batting the ball out, and the fact that it was headed out anyway makes it even worse. It's in the rule book and it should have been a penalty. Period.

Who cares if the players know that it was a rule or not? Donovan McNabb didn't know the rules of OT, does that mean they shouldn't have enforced what the rules of OT were at the time? Since when does ignorance of what constitutes a penalty nullify it?

First off yes. Wright knew he "tapped" the ball out as it was going out. Secondly it's the kind of thing that happens very rarely and is a judgement call. Mistakes happen with officials. See Patriots Team.

It's something that happened. Official made a judgement call. That play is not reviewable.

How does the ball going out anyway make it worse ? Had Wright not touched it it would have gone out of the end zone and Seattle would have the ball on their 20 yd. line.

Stuff happens.. Time to move on.

that is the refs job tho. so obscure the ref didn't even think to call it. i hate both teams evenly and would like them both to lose. oh well...

Well at least K.J. Wright admitted he was in the wrong unlike Golden Tate who said he didn't know what we were talking about with regards to pushing off in the end zone.

And you can't make the assumption that it was going to bounce out of bounds. The angle wasn't sharp enough to definitively say yeah it was on it's way out. With footballs you can never know until it stops bouncing. From our angle on TV, it looked pretty obvious that Wright tapped it out of bounds. I would love to see the view from the back judge for him to say it wasn't intentional.

Peace you're reminding me of Patriots fans right now man. just enjoy the victory but its pretty obvious to everyone that he hit the ball out and the Seahawks were gifted a victory. Refs blow calls all the time, just own it and enjoy the win, it's not the teams fault that the refs didn't do their job right. Don't be like patriots fan man its not a good look

Not good luck ? hahaha

Seattle is 2-2 if people haven't noticed AND I've started to watch the games.

There isn't a ton to be excited about from the offensive standpoint if you're the Seahawks. That offensive line looks BAD. Russell Wilson will be running for his life all season.

I agree completely. If Seattle doesn't fix that awful offensive line the 100 million dollar Wilson will get injured. Just watch.
The guys averaging 5 sacks a game.

Julio Jones is becoming an absolute monster. He always had the talent but this year he is shifting in to a new gear. Hopefully he stays healthy for you guys. you have the formula to make a deep run, an all-star play maker, a great QB to get him the ball, and a defensive minded head coach who has the defense playing well.

As far as that non call for the "batted" ball it looks like nobody has ever seen that penalty called. Steve Young,Ray Lewis and the other folks never heard of it being called.

Oh well..A win's a win.
2 times I can recount that play being called, one including a pats-steelers game, and my interest in the NFL has waned for the past 4 years. the ref was staring RIGHT at him batting the ball out of the end zone. NFL is just completely incompetent. "integrity of the game" my ass. It's obvious they wanted the seahawks not to fall to 1-3. Fine players up and down the field for doing useless ****, but NOTHING will happen to this incompetent ref. Refs deciding games is something that is TRULY DETRIMENTAL to the INTEGRITY of the game, but of course NFL backs up and says "it was a judgement call." Can't even say the ref ****ed up.

its ok though! russell wilson just needs some of that recovery water that cures his brain of any type of trauma ever

My goodness, Matt Hasselbeck is still playing? And not losing, to boot.
I didn't see the second half (it's bedtime on a work night here in the Eastern time zone), but Brian Hoyer looked decent too. Nice to see him get to play, after getting scapegoated for the collapse of the second half of the Browns' season last year.

What a huge mess O'brien has made of the QB position out there in Houston. The QB position is not like the RB position where you can have a backfield by comittee. I've never seen a team flip flop QB's like this without an injury and be successful. The man might lose his job over this

"Not losing." What an apt phrase to describe that dumpster fire of a game. And what's with the Colts getting all weepy after barely beating the atrocious teams in their division?

Amazing stat I heard yesterday: since the 2012 season, the Colts are 15-0 against teams in their division...and 10-12 against everyone else.
