Wow, Brady is only a year younger than that #18 guy, but Manning appears to be an elderly wreck who throws wounded ducks and cannot run for shasterisk. Looks like having a good O-line can add years to a QB's career.

#18 also had 3 neck surgeries... I read a report somewhere that sometimes there are days where he doesnt feel the tips of his fingers due to some minor nerve damage. He is still playing better than a lot of young athetlic QB's in their prime because he has the best pre-snap mind in the game.

Is Brady as successful without cheating? It's not something you can ignore...

The problem is, there's no way to know the true context. Were the Patriots filming signals during the first 3 SB runs? Yes, but so were many other teams. Further, there's no way to really quantify what effect that method of stealing signals had. Some coaches, like Jimmy Johnson, tried it and didn't like it. So they went back to other methods of signal-stealing. Supposedly after Spygate blew up, Kraft met with Belichick and asked him to estimate how much filming signals really helped him. Belichick said, less than 1%. So Kraft told him he was a schmuck, lol.

As far as deflating footballs, there's no way to know how long that was going on, or how consistently. The text from John Jastremski last October after the Jets game and the findings of the WR in regards to the AFCCG suggest that the ball tampering was neither all that long-standing nor all that regular.

So, no, it can't be ignored, but unfortunately, it certainly can be blown up as a means of explaining away everything the Patriots have accomplished. But that's usually by people whose sense of self-worth is connected to the outcome of a football game.

Filming signals never was and still is not illegal. Stealing signals from the sideline is not illegal. The Patriots weren't punished for stealing signals. They were punished for the placement of the camera during week 1 of 2007 after the league sent out a memo that offseason stating that filming should only be done in approved locations. Cameraplacementgate was the most overblown rules violation in sports history.

As far as deflating footballs, the science showed that it was extremely unlikely the balls in the AFC Championship game were tampered with at all, and it was all but certain that the lower air pressures were due to atmospheric conditions. We cannot say this for certain because the league never even recorded the measurements of the balls, because the league never cared about ball pressure ever until a few goons in the league office thought they had something to nail the Pats to the wall with.

Furthermore, Jeff Pash admitted on the record in Judge Berman's court that the NFL had absolutely no evidence whatsoever that any deflation scheme was going on or that Tom Brady was involved.

Text messages from months before the AFC Championship game are conjecture and don't prove anything. All they show is that Brady was apparently pissed after that October Jets game because they found out after the game the refs had accidentally over-inflated the balls to around 16 PSI, so Brady asked one of those guys to make sure to tell the refs they wanted the balls at 12.5.

It's all a bunch of malarkey that's been blown way out of proportion by haters. The majority of the country don't like the Patriots because they've won so much. Great, we've officially joined Yankees/Canadiens/Cowboys/Lakers territory. Embrace the hate.

The haters just look foolish when they bring up their outlandish "cheating" conspiracy theories. Reminds me of the "moon landing was faked" or the whole Obama birther nonsense. Or a 7 year old on the elementary school playground who just got beat in pickup football and is now going to cry to mommy that "the other team cheated".

That's a funny website. The level of "cheating" that is listed on most of those is no where near the levels that the Patriots and Brady have taken it to...lol.
Except the Patriots are just better than everyone else. Their success is not due to cheating, it's due to having the best coaching/quarterback combination in history.

I would say that blatantly cheating the salary cap to win two Super Bowls is far more egregious than using a recently outlawed (and recently widespread) method of stealing signals. Stop buying into ESPN's hyperbole.
