Well some good news for Ricardo Lockett. The receiver that got speared in the helmet at Dallas.

He's in surgery having ligaments removed from his neck. He is out for the year but he doesn't have paralasys.

You are seriously going to call this a spear hit? Ricardo even came up and went shoulder to shoulder, helmet to helmet, and even brought his arms up.......

This is a completely false narrative. The reality is, Stephen Jones is the general manager of the Cowboys. Jerry would have drafted Manziel, but Stephen nixed it. They are loaded with talent. Jerry can't keep players from getting hurt.

Also, this Tony Romo can't win in the postseason nonsense has to stop. Tony Romo can absolutely win in the postseason. He is, undoubtedly, the second most valuable quarterback to his team in football. The Cowboys couldn't win in the postseason, but that's a lot more than just Tony Romo.

The ESPN Booyah narratives surrounding the Cowboys are just nauseating.

Whoever wouldn't want Cowboys ownership/head office for their team is lying to themselves. As a Rams fan, I had to endure the **** job of the head office and ownership pre-Les Snead era and would trade that for Jerry and Stephen Jones in a heartbeat for the simple fact that they provide the tools necessary to win. Do they always win? No but it isn't easy. Like the rest of the 31 teams, it's a grind to win in the NFL. I would rather have a team that is full of talent that can compete every year and loses than have a team that has no idea what they're doing with their personnel and loses (Rams for the last 10+ years, Raiders for who knows how long).

ligaments removed...? huh? he doesn't need them?

"Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette sustained ligament damage in his neck Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys following a jarring hit by safety Jeff Heath.

The good news, according to the Seahawks, is that he he had "full motion and feeling in all extremities" before he was transported to the hospital. The team later announced Monday he underwent successful neck surgery at Baylor University Medical Center. He is expected to be hospitalized for a few more days as he continues to recover. The bad news is that his future in the NFL is in jeopardy.

When asked if Lockette might play again this season on KIRO-AM AM Seattle, head coach Pete Carroll almost immediately shot it down, leaving many to wonder if it's not just this season Carroll is referring to."

The Broncos traded for Vernon Davis yesterday.

espn.com said:
Less than 24 hours after the Denver Broncos had their biggest offensive output of the season, the team dove into the trade market to acquire tight end Vernon Davis from the San Francisco 49ers.

In return for Davis and a 2016 seventh-round pick, the 49ers will get the Broncos' sixth-round pick in 2016 and 2017, Broncos executive vice president of football operations and general manager John Elway confirmed.

Thank god Whisenhunt has been fired. Never liked that hiring from the start. Although.... he did tank a season and get the Titans what looks like a franchise QB.

I'm wondering if Davis will revitalize his career in Denver. We've seen Payton do a lot with mediocre TE talent in the past. Sure, Davis isn't Julius Thomas, but he used to be pretty good.

Really, I thought Whisenhunt was a pretty good hire. As a Titan fan I think the firing was a bit premature. The team is mediocre at best in most skill positions. Whisenhunt needed a little bit of time to develop Mariotta and put some pieces around him. Walker and Wright have potential to be good as Mariotta improves. With the talent level of the team and injury that occurred it just seems like misplaced blame to fire Whisenhunt right now.

His stubborness to not stick with one back is one example of his ineptness. You have both Sankey and Andrews who would start off quick and hard, and then get 3-4 carries the entire game because of his love of the running back by commitee. Just about everyone knows one of the most helpful things for any QB yet alone a roookie QB is a strong running game.

Than you have the blocking. Okay, I get it with the personnel they have, Poutasi is there best bet at picking up the RT position. However, you don't leave you're rookie 3rd rounder alone blocking one on one every play of the game when they have already struggled. He kept 5 TE's on the roster.... use them. JJ Watt should have been chipped by a TE every play of that game. Sure it limits your formations and plays you can run, but it also keeps your QB upright and gives the play more time to develop.

That's 2 quick things off the top of my head.

3 wins in 1 1/2 years is abysmal.

i thought he should get more time.

and why do you care about the titans when you live so close to two great franchises in the bay area?

I'm a Titans fan through and through. Being an Air Force brat I never had a "home" team. I used to follow the Oilers if I could, but as an adult I followed the team that went to Nashville and they have been my team since.
