So pictures of Greg Hardy's domestic violence case were released. I didn't really read up on it when it first surfaced but were these available to the NFL? If they were, how was his suspension reduced to 4 games from 10? This is just as bad as the Ray Rice incident and Ray Rice got kicked off the team and is pretty much out of football. It's even more surprising is if this was out there for to see, the Cowboys must have seen it and if they still decided to sign Hardy, don't know what to say. They might as well sign Ray Rice too, since they need help in the backfield.

I must say that with Hardy playing in Dallas I am quite surprised that no team has picked up Rice with all of the RB injuries this year.

What do Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning, Joe Flacco, Russell Wilson, Matthew Stafford, Cam Newton, Philip Rivers, and Drew Brees have in common?

...they all have thrown more interceptions than Jay Cutler this season.

Peyton has thrown an interception in every game so far this year, and 13 total.

I would love to see the defense carry them to a championship this year so he can retire on top. Classy guy and he's been a regular season monster his whole career.

Yep, it crazy how weak the division is. As a Titans fan, would love just to sniff the postseason again even if it is one and done.
I feel you man. I don't even care if the Rams get blown out 52-0 in the first round. I just need them to make it to the playoffs so it can validate their progress since Jeff Fisher and Les Snead took over.

I swear, sometimes the NFL seems star-crossed.

They're trying this new "Color Rush" thing. Ordinarily in a game, one team wears jerseys of the team's color, and the other team wears white.

But the NFL is trying a setup where both teams wear their colors. It's resulted in some interesting problems:

People who are red/green colorblind had no idea what was happening in Jets-Bills

The New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills wore bright green and red jerseys, respectively, last night for their game on Thursday Night Football. It was fine and all, and the contrast between the bright jerseys would have been cool, except for one problem — people who are red/green colorblind had no idea what was going on....

Color blindness affects 1 out of 12 men in America and roughly 1 in 200 women. With no discernible patterns and just blocks of colors on the jerseys, it obviously would be difficult for those people to tell the two apart.

It doesn't appear to be there anymore, but earlier when I first saw this story there was actually a clip someone made from the game to simulate what images like the above would look like to red-green colorblind people. It was confusing! It looked like one mass of 22 players, all wearing dark green.

Predictably, this unleashed some angry/confused/bemused snark.

they both were ugly.

and if you were color blind you'd have a very hard time telling who was who with them both wearing white helmets.

that is the one thing i'd change if i were an nfl/college/HS* coach - alternate helmets. i'd have a back up helmet in case we played a team with the same color helmet.

most teams don't really need it i know but there is always one or teams that could benefit from this tactic. Vinny Testeverde was color blind and i have always wondered if this tactic would have made a difference for his NFL career. He had a very good run but who knows?

i've noticed down here in HS games that some teams have the same helmet and in several cases nothing on the helmet at all. so all the noggins running around in a black helmet would look the same.

HS* - yes some high school budgets might not be able to do this but quite a few do.
