Have you had problems with your keyboard on your 2016/2017 MBP?

I have had the 2016 TB MBP and I currently own the 2017 TB MBP and I have had Zero Issues with the keyboard.

yup, having the 2017 15". Had to have it replaced twice for keyboard issues (sticky keys/non registering keys) but it's been working well since the last replacement. I've had it for about 4 months since- and no problems so far.

I've got a 2016 TB 13" rMBP and have no issues at all with the keyboard. I would prefer more travel on it but it works as well today as it did the day I got it

For the first time in my life, I am in the market for a laptop (i've always used desktops).

Always wanted a mighty Macbook Pro, but the new models sound like nightmares and am tempted to buy a 2015 or earlier.

Where I buy the mac I have 2 options:

2015 with 256 ssd: 2000 usd
2017 with 512 ssd: 2500 usd

For 500 I can have newer technology, in 2018 pay 2000 for the 2015, bufffff, and the 256ssd today is a bit small.

(maybe for some reason the 2017 is only 500 dls more...)

My housemate has a 2017 15" a few weeks after it was updated and hasn't had any issues with the keyboard - even after spilling a pint of beer on it late last year

No keyboard issue's on mine (2016 model), and at work we've had 20-some 2017 MBP's ordered, and so far no one has reported any issues with the keyboard.

Bought my 15” last June the day they arrived at the local Apple store. Zero problems so far. :)

I had to fight a legal case with Apple to get my money back.

Basic stuff like working keyboards seems beyond Apple.

The new design they've patented to prevent damage from crumbs and dust ... still seems like a bad design. That is - you'll need to repair the whole keyboard if anything does go wrong.

I had to go back to a 2015 MBP

His laptop drank an entire pint and did not even burp? I am amazed.

MBP 2017. Bought it in December 2017, no issues. I clean the keyboard and screen (if needed) once a week. Microfiber clothe, lightly sprayed with ammonia free foam glass cleaner, then I wipe the keyboard and screen.

This thread is making me hopeful. I’ve got a 2016 13” TB that I obtained new for cheap recently, and I am thinking of upgrading to the 2016 15” which can also be found cheaply (in relative terms) at blowout prices. Whatever the exact model I settle on this will need to have the extended Apple care, obviously. But it’s reassuring to know that not everybody is having trouble...

I have 2017 TB MBP 15inch since early September, no problems with keyboard. However, at work I use BT keyboard, so my internal keyboard does not get that much use.

Oddly enough I use this exact same product, and so far so good. I was originally concerned about the anti-glare coating, but it seems to be just fine after nearly a year of use.

Myself (13" nTB 2017) and my friend (15" 2017) have both had issues where buttons will double click. Mine is the spacebar, and his is the B key.

Hi everyone!

Simple question: is there someone with a 2017 MBP who does not have keyboard problems?

If so, how long have you had it?

I'm about to acquire one and I've been scared by the amount of post, videos, blog, etc with this topic.

Thanks!

Have mine since July 2017. It is a 15 inch model and works fantastic
