Have you had problems with your keyboard on your 2016/2017 MBP?

I received the 2017 yesterday and yes, the keyboard has an strange sound... all letters sound “puc puc” but the Enter key sound louder and “tic tic”.

Maybe go back to 2015, I spect to “love” a new mbp, not to be afraid of it or touching wood everdy day...

I use it as a second and travel laptop, an iMac is my main work horse, so perhaps I´ll stick to 2015 for one more year

This is my enter key sound:

I’ve had a 2016 nTB MBP since launch. I’ve had zero issues with the keyboard. There have also been no other issues with the computer. Runs perfectly every day.

Myself (13" nTB 2017) and my friend (15" 2017) have both had issues where buttons will double click. Mine is the spacebar, and his is the B key.

What have you done about it?

I have a 2016 15" mbp and am having issues with double clicks and hhop overs of the h key (as you see )

I have the MacBook Pro 15" 2016 Gen 1 (touchbar) purchased early March 2017 - no problems whatsoever
I don't eat near my laptop and wipe the keyboard to remove any dust regularly
No issues over 12 months of use - love this machine
Keyboard is quieter than my Dell work keyboard
Obviously there must be some bad batches of keyboards or this issue is being hyped out of proportion

Since we always hear about people who do have problems and rarely from people who don't, I was wondering if people who've never had problems with the 2016 MBP keyboard could reply to this thread? Thanks.

2016 13" nTB, never had an issue with the keyboard. Will go and get the top case replaced once the battery capacity decreased too much since mine is part of the program.

Never had an issue with my 2016. But, I use a keyboard skin, which keeps any potential debris out.

How will you do that if your keyboard isn't broken? Is there a battery program for these models?

I suspect his/her keys will happen to get damaged around that time... Getting a free battery replacement under the keyboard warranty has occurred to a few people... ;)

I never did - but a couple weeks ago I got a new top case and I believe that came with a new keyboard too.

Haha that’s another option but no I was gonna go through the battery replacement program.

Pretty sure you need to have a keyboard problem for them to replace the top and the battrey.

I honestly don't know how people manage to have these issues. I have an 2016 13 MBP with Touch Bar. I use this machine 8 hours a day and don't have a single issue with it. Keyboard works fine and has never had sticky keys. Perhaps this issue might be related to location of the user?

I am in California. Has there been any relationship identified due to the location of the issues? Like wetter climates etc?
