Have you had problems with your keyboard on your 2016/2017 MBP?

I honestly don't know how people manage to have these issues. I have an 2016 13 MBP with Touch Bar. I use this machine 8 hours a day and don't have a single issue with it. Keyboard works fine and has never had sticky keys. Perhaps this issue might be related to location of the user?

I am in California. Has there been any relationship identified due to the location of the issues? Like wetter climates etc?
There were some reports that an alloy used in manufacturing the keyboard was below specs and made the keys more vulnerable to intrusions (I guess it bent instead of crushing debris...?) I suspect those made with the defective alloy are the ones having the problems primarily.

I've had a 2016 15" as my primary machine since launch and the keyboard has been fine for me. I pretty much always use it on my lap without a keyboard cover or anything so it definitely sees it's share of debris but the temp probably doesn't get too hot because it's not usually pushing a monitor in clamshell mode (I have a desktop for heavy work). Not sure maybe I've been lucky but I definitely haven't babied the computer or anything and it's been fine.

I guess overall the 2016 has been the best laptop I've ever owned the power for the size is really amazing, I still love the screen on it, love the audio, I actually really like the butterfly keyboard on these because the keystrokes are large and accurate and the keys have very little wobble, the trackpad is actually really great, donglelife is really nothing for me I put one adapter in my bag that has every port I'd need (replaced all my usb A cables with usb c cables for a few $ a piece on monoprice) and I actually really like being able to charge on either side. Overall it's been a great machine and I think the proof is in the fact that I'm not all that interested in replacing it.

13" nTB from 2017 here. Stuck keys every few weeks (mostly space bar and arrow keys, but none of the keys are safe), feeling of typing on bubble gum when the laptop gets hot. I had my first stuck key on day two after purchase.

I use one of those air-pumping-squishy-rubber things for professional photographers to blow air under the keys since they didn't let my canned air pass airport security.

Other than that I love typing on this keyboard - when it works. I'm a fast touch typist and I like the retro sound of the keys - almost like a mechanical typewriter ;-)

Will get a replacement for the keyboard when (and if) I can live for a couple of days without my work machine.

Would get a new MBP with quad core in a heartbeat – if there was an option without touch bar. I would pay premium for having physical keys instead of the touch bar ...
