Is super bowl hangover a real thing though?
I think so, call it what you want, but the emotion outpouring and physical exertion on winning or losing is such that many teams don't start the season in peak shape. If any team is the poster child of this, its the Panthers

Not much has changed from the post Super Bowl press conference. I agree completely with your analysis of Cam Newton.
Nope, and I think he does need to grow up, its the arrogance (when they win) and poor sportsmanship that really get me to hate the Panthers.

Just
End
The
Season
Fitzpatrick is not looking too good this year. I was worried that is great success was an aberration. He seems to go into those cycles, where he's great for a season (or a couple of months) and then later he's only mediocre. I'm sure the failure of the jets is not soley on him, but the QB is typically the face of the franchise and he enjoys the rewards for winning so he has to endure the hardship of losing.

Our defense, other than the line, sucks.

The Jets should have gone after someone else when Fitzpatrick held out.

I think given his performance, it should have been a no brainer to sign him. Maybe the jets sensing that he may be a one hit wonder low balled him. Aside from that, given the pool of available QBs, who was available that would have given them an upgrade in that position?

I'm not sure, but surely you don't think Fitzpatrick is a long term solution for the Jets, do you?

There was a reason he earned the nickname "FitzTragic". Yeah, he would have bouts where he would look like he turned the corner.... and then...he would **** the bed.

You mean our defense sucks, period! Other than game 1 our "stud" D-line has done nothing. The secondary is horrible but a lot of that has to do with the guys up front getting absolutely no pressure..... and with 4 mediocre QBs on the roster it's not like we can look forward to drafting a good QB high (don't follow college so not sure if there is even a good one this year) they'll just draft another crappy defensive back who will get cut in 3 years. Being a Jets fan really sucks.... forever in QB limbo

Trade you Case Keenum or Jared Goff for Fitzpatrick. :D

The Patriots have stated if they get an offer they can't refuse, they'll trade Jimmy Garopollo. Although we've only seen 2 games from him, he looked great in them.

He did, but there was a Patriots backup (can't remember his name) a few years ago that came in and did quite well when Brady injured his knee. He took an offer to another team and didn't do well at all.

FitzTragic does good his first year with a team then they resign him and stinks. I think this is third time he has done this. I would take Garropolo for the Dolphins Tomorrow.

He would probably suck, definitely benefited from the system and game planning in NE.
