So I have had my MacBook Pro 2016 15" for a week now and it's pretty great for the most part. I noticed two things with the hardware that I'm not entirely sure are normal and could be a defect with my machine.

The first is that the track pad actually has a LOT of travel at the top middle. It goes down about a centimeter or so when firmly pressed and looks like it is bending into the display/ wasn't secured correctly.

The second is that my "3" key is slightly raised over the others. Is it normal for every machine to have at least one key be slightly off from the others?

Both the trackpad and key work just fine, but I was wanting to see if anyone else saw this with their machines.

Do you mean millimetre? Would certainly be impressed if it was able to go down a centimetre! I think it's fairly normal, my trackpad has visible movement when pressing hard especially towards the middle of the sides. Although this doesn't actually click, it's not completely free of movement.

Oddly enough I've also had a problem with my '3' key, but it was slightly stuck and wouldn't register. Repeatedly pressing it seems to have fixed it, I think it's a coincidence though as it's probably just a bit of grit or dirt. If it happens again, I'll try blowing compressed air underneath. Can't say any of my keys are raised, though.

A mm movement in the trackpad matches what I see. My 3 key is barely perceptibly higher on the right side. I have to look level to the keyboard and squint to see it, would have never noticed if you hadn't pointed it out.

Mine flexes about a mm as well, but can't find any irregularities with any keys.
