2016 Macbook Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

Just a note:

UPS tracking says delivery Monday 11/14 but
Apple tracking says delivery Wed 11/16 ??

Who to believe, I hope UPS but as long as it's here before Friday I'm happy. I'm leaving for thanksgiving and I couldn't think of a better time to play :)

what time did you all get a shipping notification? where are the shipments originating from?

I personally believe Apple will instruct UPS to hold the delivery until the 16th which appears to be the release date.

I have no evidence other than past experience though, it could just as well arrive Monday.

Yeah if it ships from Toronto/Concord area (like Apple usually does for my orders, Apple Watches, iPhones, etc.), then I should get it the day after it ships as UPS delivers next-day from Toronto metro to Montreal.

Just a matter of when Apple decides to ship them, if they don't want to lift embargo until 16th or 17th.

YA I am kinda thinking that as well.. Was just wondering if anyone had experience with ship to store. When I ordered a MacBook for the wife I never got tracking but that was from the refurb store, so not sure if new products are different.

I still think a lot more of us that are still P4S will get shipping status and tracking today. I still think we will be on the same plane as the people who already have tracking. Only if those early people get an arrival scan somewhere else will we know for sure we missed the first plane.

Shanghai to Anchorage to Kentucky still doesn't leave for another 46hrs
Shenzhen to Anchorage to Ontario CA doesn't leave for another 4.5 hrs

I don't think this is correct. If they wanted to hold until 16, Apple would just say, "Available 11/16." Plus, the carrier would already have the information and the carrier's delivery date would reflect that. I think Apple is purposefully giving longer lead times in case there are carrier delays. An early delivery is a win for everyone.

I agree, I don't think Apple is going to hold them for a certain date as they never gave an official release date like they do an iPhone. Also Apple was giving estimates as early as yesterday on some peoples order status. That never happened but I think they will now arrive as fast as UPS can get them to people.

I'm in Toronto, in stock 13 model, 2.9Hz with 512GB SSD, credit card got charged this morning and the status is preparing for shipment now. The delivery window shifted to Nov 15-21.
Anyone in the same situation here?:)

Only US ones moving so far....i think it will go quick for us....i'm really hoping that it will go P4S sometime tonight, will ship tomorrow and be delivered on Monday.

Like you, i ordered immediately with a date of 14-21....i still think we will be ok.

Ya imagine the calls UPS would get for missing their delivery date. I can't imagine they'd agree to that!

It's happened before. UPS just changes the arrival date a day or two before the original estimate. Anyway, not long now - we shall see.

UPS for sure 100%
 
And in case some people (like myself) are still unsure if this new MBP is a good purchase, we now have till Jan 8th 2017 to make a decision!!
 
Hopefully the shipped orders hit Alaska next and avoids the crazy HK or Korea route. Let's hope weather on the route is clear people!
