2016 Macbook Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

Hi friends. Just a heads up - Call UPS and let them know to hold the package at the distribution center and pick that baby up at 8:30 am. Ive waited about 8 months for this day but theres no way i can wait till 5 pm for ups to come by haha

My 13" stock was charged and went to PFS this morning and now I'm having major second thoughts about getting the 13" over the 15". I'm coming from an early 2011 15" MPB and I'm starting to worry I'm going to miss the screen real estate. Did anyone switch from 15 to 13 and regret it?

There isn't a plane from Shanghai to Anchorage till Monday 9:30PM China time. So likely it will go a more complicated route if they really are leaving today.

However, even though people have departure scans that doesn't mean they are actually moving. There are thousands to scan.

That's the way to go. You can also specify it online at ups.com. I'm taking off Tuesday and going to the Customer Center. Otherwise, UPS is saying 1 - 5 pm delivery.

They can always modify the delivery date in their system after the fact. I hope for everyone that has an earlier date that it comes on the early date but I wouldn't be surprised to see UPS change the delivery date either.

Anyone here with a 256 GB SSD order .? I requested a 512 GB one but by mistake they put a 256 one and as I see there isn't anyway to update it now as it's already preparing for shipment
How less is 256 GB ? If I don't store music, videos and photos much but I maxed out the CPU and GPU ( 15" ) ?
 
Happy for all of you with your laptops moving - just disappointed to still not see any action on mine! The date moved up but it is still processing, no charge yet and an early delivery date of yesterday through next Friday. Heading out of town Tuesday - really hoping to see something soon!

If you don't sore music, videos, and photos that much then you should be fine. Videos and HQ pictures would eat up storage. You should be fine.

Just use external hard drives and cloud storage for other things.

The benchmarks that are out from the non-Touch Bar model with 256GB show that you really don't need to worry about speed - it's rapid and within touching distance of the speeds Apple quote as "up-to" for the 2TB drive.

The 256GB drive you get will be hugely faster than any drive in any other notebook on the market today.
 
Interesting. Online, UPS says I can't change the delivery to pickup at the CC. I'll try again later.
Now, I'm getting this. "UPS My Choice® features are not available for this package."
 
How long did it take 13s (specifically stocks) to go from p4s to shipped? Got charged/p4f this morning, anyone see there's move more after?
 
If the 16th date is correct then these are really early scans as that would be in line with them being on the most direct Shanghai-Anchorage-Kentucky flight (UPS81) not leaving till Monday evening in China and arriving in Kentucky at the UPS hub 1:00AM Tuesday (15th) morning.

The fact that people have scans from 5PM to now 9:30PM suggests they are just moving through all the scans but nothing has actually departed.

The first arrival scan should give us the full story.

Let us know when you see an arrival scan somewhere else. It won't actually leave to some time after the scan. They have to scan a whole lot of stuff before the plane is even loaded or leaving.
