2016 Macbook Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

I'd actually personally be surprised if the european macbooks started shipping from europe instead of china. At least the BTO ones. All the macbooks I ever ordered from Apple that were non-stock shipped from China. For stock options it's easily possible that they ship from Europe though. Might be completely wrong though, all of this is just personal opinioen.

I've never had a BTO mac ship from Europe either. It doesn't make sense logistically either, you're introducing more work into the supply chain with batching and unbatching.

The rep suggested that, but asked nicely and she agreed to do it. Just waiting on my Order Status page being updated with the new price and configuration change.
If they mess it up, it won't be a big deal, just less money used.

Does anybody know what actually happens with your BTO and place in the queue when they have a problem with charging ones credit card?
Is my order cast to the wayside or do they proceed with it?
As I have written before, the issue hit Friday evening and I can't get it resolved before the Apple Store DK support staff gets to work on Monday.
I'm asking because it would be nice to know whether I have lost tre days in the queue or not. I understand that my order is not cancelled - I think I have 5 days to resolve the payment issue - but it would be kind of annoying if I lost several days because the Apple support staff doesn't work on weekends in Denmark.

I think that as long as you haven't been contacted by Apple that your shipment has been delayed or put on hold, or your shipping dates haven't changed.. you should be all good.
That, or they just send your the G4 Cube instead 😉 - Sorry that was an evil joke. Never joke about a guy awaiting his brand new Mac ! 🙂

No orders from Europe seem to have moved at all. We are quite many with charged credit cards, but still on Processing..

A G4 Cube, hmm! It got me thinking that it could be cool to dig up a working Macintosh IIcx. That was my first encounter with the Mac. Back then in 1992, it was way cool. Even with all those bombs in OS 6! 😱😀

Same here, nothing moved since the very beginning. I really hope they ship all of these from within Europe, or else we might not get to see anything other than PFS next week...
Well looks like mine and my wife's MacBooks are in UPS' hands now. Sometime overnight we have changed over to shipped status. Can't see that on Apple's website of course because of maintenance right now, but logging into UPS MyChoice there are two packages with origin scans in Shanghai now.
One has a scheduled delivery date of the 16th and the other doesn't have a delivery date set yet. They haven't started moving yet so hopefully this doesn't turn out like our iPhone 7 pluses where they sat in one spot for like three days with no movement whatsoever. What's fiasco that was.
Does anyone know if there are any UPS flights from Shanghai to Alaska today?
