When did your order go into PFS? I'm in California with a stock 13" touch bar and am waiting for shipping. Mine went into PFS and charged on Friday night.

Exactly the same here. My LG 4K materialized in Ontario Friday, so I have a feeling when it does ship it will also originate nearby.

Some of you gents make me smile with the way you are being Mac flight detectives. I would think cuddling with the wife or g/f for some whoopee would be a lot more fun. :p

I sent her out of county just so I could track my MacBook without distraction and I didn't even track her flight to Europe. I'm sure she got there fine. She is a grown woman. MacBook Pro, not so much.

I have the same machine. Put an SSD in there and it will become completely usable. That's the real bottleneck, and where you will see the most dramatic improvement. You are going from a terribly slow laptop hard drive to one of the fastest SSDs on the market.

I thought about putting in an SSD and skipping 2016's MacBook Pro. However it also needs a new battery and while I'm in there I might as well upgrade the RAM. Then I've spent $300-$400. Then I decided to purchase the 2016 MacBook Pro. I don't have the luxury of putting this machine out of commission regardless of how slow the machine is. A simple upgrade to most here is the equivalent of open heart surgery for me. Though I may tinker with it eventually or sell it.

Custom 15" just switched to PFS this afternoon. Had a pending charge on my card since last Sunday, which disappeared by Friday and never transitioned to a posted transaction. Just checked again now that I'm PFS and still no charges on the card, which is a bit odd, but I'm sure they will charge again overnight and hopefully it switches to Shipped by morning!

FWIW, ordered on 10/27, 15" Space Gray, 2.9, 1 TB, Radeon 460

Order on October 27th - at about 4:00PM EST right after the Keynote.

15" BTO MacBook Pro with Touch Bar

  • 2.7GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7
  • 16GB 2133MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM
  • Radeon Pro 460 with 4GB VRAM
  • 512GB PCIe-based SSD
  • Four Thunderbolt 3 ports
Original Delivery EST: Nov 17th-Nov 25th

Location: New York
Current Status: SHIPPED
Delivery Date: November 15th, 2016

Love Apple when they always over estimate on delivery dates!

EXACTLY! Happened to me a few years ago with an iPad I sold to someone in another country. Too make a long story short, they got my iPad I got back an empty box...never again

Exact reason I no longer use eBay or PayPal for that matter, "The buyer is always right" is great until the buyer IS the scammer. Funny enough, a lot of them figured that out and guess what? Now it's mostly legitimate sellers and fraudulent buyers.

yeah have fun with eBay where it's so easy for them to get your MacBook, claim that it wasn't as described, have them get their money back and you receive a potato in the box. I'm never using eBay ever again.

I was being facetious of course.

I'm ready to take delivery. You wouldn't understand. Currently using a Mid 2010 MacBook 7,1 with a 250 GB HDD and 2 GB of RAM and a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. I'm not knowledgeable on specifications, but it should be a dramatic improvement. Currently the littlest of tasks (internet browsing, opening applications, etc.) are demanding on this machine.

Just for laughs and giggles, anyone know what the difference as far as a percentage would be between the machines?

Specs doesn't matter. all I can say is pr0n looks better on a Retina display

Is it weird that I've been PFS since last night (about 18 hrs ago) but don't see a CC charge yet? I had a pre-auth last Monday, but it dropped off sometime Friday before I went to PFS Saturday evening. Seems like most people are seeing a charge first or at the same time as going to PFS.

+1. I have the same machine as well and an SSD made a world of difference. Booting went from over a minute to 14 seconds.

I ordered on Nov 4th with an estimated arrival time of Dec 13-19. I see on that google spreadsheet, however, that there is one order from around that date that is getting ready to ship or has shipped. Is this real?

I am traveling between the 21-29th of November and I am wondering if I should change my shipping address to the location I will be at just in case. Just not sure how to gauge this. Mine is still processing.

Most everyone is having theirs delivered by UPS.

Mine is coming via FedEx, probably since I called Apple and they graciously upgraded order to Expedited/Express delivery.

Same here! Can you tell me what the status of yours is?

I watched marinetraffic.com when I was waiting for my car to arrive... :D:p
The last time it happened was when Apple released the iPhone 7/7 Plus. European customers received their iPhone from one of the following warehouse locations:
  • Prague, Czech Republic
  • Eindhoven, Netherlands
I wonder how you got pushed to the Dec. 6-12 slot. I ordered about 48 hours after the keynote and I am on the Nov. 25 - Dec. 2 slot.

I have a theory. Once you press the 'GO' button for the order you get the latest 'window' for dispatch and delivery. It does not get updated until close to the P4S for dispatched.

However, people who have ordered later than you can get an earlier set of windows due to the amount of people who have cancelled their orders. Therefore, even thou you have worst info than the person who ordered a day later, infect you will still be ahead them in the Apple build list. It is just that the info on your screen is not updated to reflect the real position in the process.

This also helps explain the under promise and over deliver comment. Also, when people have 'expedited' their order and seen an improvement on the order dates.

Info to back up this theory. During the weight for the iPhone 7+ I was following the thread and people 'updated' their delivery address to include their local county (in England) a lot of them got updated delivery info. It seems like that was a way to force the info on you page to update to the realtime info Apple have in their servers for the build process.

Again only my theory, if anybody has any others I'd love to hear them, because it make the 3/4 wk shipping pass quite quickly :)

(I have tried updating my order delivery address lat week, but nothing changed for me :-/ thou. Maybe I did it too early in the process and I am/was still in the 3/4 window )

Got my FeEx shipping notification this morning - BTO Space Grey 15" shipping to NYC.

I also got my e-mail that has "proof of AppleCare enrollment" and the start date for my Apple Care in their system is 11/12 which is odd since I won't be getting my computer until the 17th.

Mine is also coming to NYC via FedEX but I'm hoping the delivery gets updated..

I have the same one! I did upgrade it with a SSD and 2gb of extra RAM, though. It's surprising how much of a difference the SSD makes.

We'll be in for a huge upgrade haha!

I've been able to change my delivery address last week but now i'm not able to do it anymore. Weird... ..or maybe its a good sign? No idea.

Edit: I just clicked on the cancel button and it said that it's not possible to cancel my order online. Maybe it's moving to PFS early next week?
