Understandable. This is a lot more expensive than your average Amazon order. ;)

Definitely! The only other Apple product I purchased at launch was an iPhone 6 Plus, but I wasn't following near as closely as this MacBook Pro. Then again, this MacBook 7,1 is taking minutes to load internet pages while doing coursework for school, so it's a bit more dire.

Just a UPS flight update. As I stated yesterday the next UPS81 flight is at 9:30PM China time on Monday. I saw some people referencing the UPS85 flight at 6:30AM but that was the 13th and it is already the 14th in China. That was the flight many were on overnight last night.

So back to what I've been saying for 2 days now....the next flight is UPS81 it will arrive in Kentucky at 1AM on Tuesday the 15th. So that is why so many of us are just sitting around with our arrival scan in Shanghai for many many hours now. At least we are all packed and at the airport ready to go. Next I think we get a customs scan and then the true departure scan sometime overnight tonight. Only those on the UPS 81 and UPS 85 yesterday will get the laptop on Monday. The next batch will be best case Tue.

Here is the UPS81 flight going next... https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS81/history/20161114/1333Z/ZSPD/PANC

There are no more UPS85 flights scheduled at this time. That flight only happens every week or so...maybe an extra one they fly when demand is high...maybe Apple filled that one last night!!

Also there is a UPS81 flight every day of the week except Sundays, on Sat it does that Osaka route it did last night. So every day now there is another flight for more shipments.

Yeah, this thing is gonna be a lot quicker!

You know I've always wanted one of those polycarbonate MacBooks. I think they look cool!

Anyone else in Australia ready to pull their hair out in anticipation? Mine is due from tomorrow the 15th... I was hoping for at least a credit card authorisation by now, it's still in PROCESSING too!

...until the plastic discolored or the casing bulged due to a battery issue!

Yeah. A few times I considered buying one just to add to my collection of older Apple hardware; but it was hard to find one in good shape; and that concerned me about how long the ones in good shape would stay that way.

I wonder why they don't give ship to store tracking info? Maybe a safety measure but idk it's annoying to be left in the dark until it arrives lol

Really hoping mine ships this week. The anticipation for this computer is getting to me.

My first MacBook I got was in 2007. It was the white model. Then I got the Mid-2012 MacBook Pro 13".

Now I am eagerly waiting for my 15" to arrive.

I guess I'll just continue to wait...

Potentially, you can't track to store (easily) because Apple doesn't want to confuse customers. Just because UPS says "delivered" doesn't mean you can pick it up. Apple would rather let you know when it was ready for pickup; meaning it had been delivered and checked in and whatever other 'behind the scenes' stuff is going on.

Some folks might've done better to have it held at the distribution center and picked up from there, rather than shipped to store.

Does anyone know when the Apple Stores will have them in stock? I asked an employee in at the San Fran union square location yesterday (11/12) and he said he had no idea when they will have them in stock. What was especially weird was that they only had the 13 inch w/out touch bar on display!

I'm mainly asking since those of us with December estimates (or who want to) can just cancel our orders and buy in store.

They'd know better than we would. Keep in mind that store stock of Jet Black 7 plus's are STILL thin. Online orders will take precedence. Definitely check back here and there with your local store; but they don't know until the day they show up. They aren't given warning even the day they are coming. All they know is what came in that day.

Wish mine was coming UPS instead of FedEx.. probably would have gotten mine tomorrow instead of Wednesday Although FedEx comes here early in the day and UPS is usually very late after the dinner hour.

The white polycarbonate MacBook is certainly iconic. I would even venture to say that it as iconic as the Classic. I can't remember what lead me to choose a Mac over Windows. I will say that Apple's Best Buy sales person was extremely convincing. If I could thank that person I would. Many friends who purchased Dells, HPs, etc. have purchased 2-3 machines since then. I still think I came out ahead in terms of costs.
