2016 Macbook Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

Well, when I had ordered Apple showed it would be delivered between 11/17-11/23. Then 24 hours before I was billed (Friday night/Saturday morning) Apple showed it would be delivered between 11/14-11/17. Then upon receiving the tracking information, Apple showed it would be delivered on 11/16. This could change when UPS provides tracking information.

It'll be here eventually. However the constant changing of delivery is interesting. Not sure what to make of it.

Same here. My date jumped up two days, but my tracking # isn't activated yet either so who really knows..

Mine says delivery by Wednesday 10:30am but I think it will get to me in Detroit on Tuesday. It will ultimately arrive in Louisville KY. Hopefully Monday.

I used the my ups choice to change my shipment to be picked up at the distribution center now its telling me it can take an extra 2 days on the delivery has any one else done this is that true....?

I've only seen them mention a delay if you ask to pick it up at a UPS store. I've picked up prior Apple products from the distribution center on the release date.

Anyone else in Australia ready to pull their hair out in anticipation? Mine is due from tomorrow the 15th... I was hoping for at least a credit card authorisation by now, it's still in PROCESSING too!

Yep! Mine went to Preparing overnight. Credit card hold also disappeared as others have reported.

I'm in Melbourne, waiting for a spec'd up 13".

I managed to see the 13" in a store tonight. Way too small.

Ordered the entry level 15" with upgraded SSD to 516GB. Space grey of course

I wonder why they don't give ship to store tracking info? Maybe a safety measure but idk it's annoying to be left in the dark until it arrives lol

It has to do with safety, shipments to apple store are rather secretive, even the employees don't know when a delivery is coming, it's always a surprise. It reduces the chances of theft, especially on the way to the store.

Picking mine up at UPS tomorrow morning at 9 am! Woo hoo! Been holding out for a new MBP for over a year now. I've been taking my iPad Pro to present to clients, but it's been a bit painful since I can't really make design updates while I'm with them. This is huge for me! For several months, I was packing my mid-2011 21.5" iMac with me to work with clients and buckling it up in the front seat! Not fun. Good luck y'all.

P.S. Thinking ahead to working remotely and packing light. I've used Astropad a few times, but haven't really depended on it since I use my Wacom. Wondering if anyone here has used Duet with a MBP and an iPad Pro as a second monitor. If so, did it work well? Any lag?

I wonder how you got pushed to the Dec. 6-12 slot. I ordered about 48 hours after the keynote and I am on the Nov. 25 - Dec. 2 slot.

I ordered about 7 hours after the keynote and I was immediately scheduled for delivery Dec 5-9. That date has not moved once.

From Singapore, credit card was authorised last Monday. I just saw my 15" BTO moved from Processing to
Preparing for Shipment. Delivers is 14/11/2016 - 21/11/2016 by Standard Shipping, we are currently on 14 Nov 9:52AM

Does anyone know when the Apple Stores will have them in stock?

Nope, but the units are showing up as "not available for pickup" which is new, it showed up yesterday but disappeared briefly.

I'm taking some of the existing iPhone availability scripts and converting it to search for mac stuff. I should know in about 5 minutes when they're available ship to store, but i'm not hopeful. The usbc to ethernet adapter will take 7-8 weeks(!) to ship!

CC authorization disappeared with intial delivery down for 16-23 Nov. I ordered my 15" 4 hours after release so you are doing well.

Okay appreciate it, thank you. Just a heads up, I called apple 3 different times. The first 2 times they said they cant upgrade my shipping. I finally spoke to someone else, and they upgraded my shipping to next day. So it's just who you talk to. If you want to give it a try. It worked with me after a few times.

Mine is being shipped UPS. I'm in NJ and UPS tracking says it's being shipped from Harrisburg, PA for delivery on Tuesday.

Yes, I made the request. Are you using Mychoice?
From the My Choice window in the dashboard, click on 'Go To Delivery Planner', then from that window, click on TABLE View.
You'll see a column on the far right called 'Change' and links below that say 'request'.

I know there are lots of us sitting around waiting for the flight. Basically any UPS orders that have been sitting as Arrival Scan in Shanghai for hours/days
