guys i'm thinking about changing my stock 13" model to the other stock model (SSD Upgrade to 512 GB). Is this upgrade worth it? I'm not a big data messy or anything but i'm planning on having this macbook for at least 5 years. And i'm not 100% sure if i can upgrade the SSD with 3rd party kits that "cheap" (188 € for the storage update @Apple).

But what is even more important (at least to me): will the changing of my order affect my delivery date? My current date is set for Nov 23 - 30 in Germany (so yeah, EU  ). Dont want to wait any longer than the 30th of November :D

thanks in advance for your advise on this :)

Flightradar24 is much more fun though...the website and the app.
It took a while for Flightradar24 to show the destination of UPS81. Flightaware showed it right away. I do agree that Flightradar24 is more fun, especially the virtual 3D view of what the pilots see. The airplane icons are better too.

guys i'm thinking about changing my stock 13" model to a BTO model (SSD Upgrade to 512 GB). Is this upgrade worth it? If you think you will need it, get it. You can't change it afterwards. (It's also a stock config.) No idea if it will change your place in line.

Got the same updates, this looks good and increases our chances of getting on flight FX72 departing in 40 minutes from now
Got the same update - hoping we are in fact on that plane, and will be in Memphis by morning. Do you have an estimated delivery date of the 17th as well?

MacBook Pro 15" Space Grey, 2.7Ghz, 512GB, Radeon Pro 460 4GB about 2 hours after online store started accepting orders. Delivers 15 Nov - 22 Nov.

For the past 24 hours, it is stuck on "Preparing for Shipment" :(

I'm writing this posy with my new MacBook Pro 15", 2.7 Ghz, 1 Tb SSD, Radeon 460, 16 GB RAM. What was a little bit unsatisfying is that this almost maxed-out in terms of processing power and ram machine is slower than my maxed-out late 2012 iMac... Not a fair comparison between laptops and Desktops but there is definitely noticeable difference.. Wish Intel has made more progress in recent years in terms of processing power for laptops

Got same update, and yes the 17th by 4:30p
cool. mine says 8pm on the 17th, but still good. I haven't had much ship from China that is via Fedex so didn't remember if the "in transit" scan is the same as a UPS "departure scan", but looks like many of us got it so either we're on that flight or being driven to another airport (which would be unlikely, since I presume we all cleared customs together - I have same times as the other poster here)

UPS changed my delivery date from Thursday to Friday. Bummer!

On the bright side, all of our MBPs are getting to know each other really well while hanging out in Shanghai. ;)

Anyone know the logic with Apple's delivery dates? I ordered on the 29th with a 3-4 week wait, and the estimated dates are 28th - 5th. Which by my count is 4-5 weeks?

I know the dates are different depending on region and not massively fussed, but can anyone explain it?

My macbook left california yesterday for canada, I wonder If I will be able to pick it up at the store tomorrow, the store pickup is annoying cause you have no info untill your mac arrives

The 3-4 weeks is shipping and the specific dates and delivery.

It'll obviously take a while to get from china to its final location.

Looks like we're on the same boat. I have no answer for your (relevant) question though.

I think it is really just where you are. For myself I ordered very soon in 2-3weeks estimate. If I was in the US I would have had the 17-24 estimate most had at the same time as me. If I lived in the Canadian provinces I would have had 21-30 as most did and that was the earliest for Canadian BTO. But because I live in the far north of Canada I got 24-30 estimate. Mine is now scheduled for delivery by UPS on Nov 18th. So if UPS is right they will have beat my date by 6days!! Other Canadians will have it on the 16th I think so they will also be way ahead of schedule.

My order status changed to "shipped" about 24 hours ago, but the tracking number Apple provided still doesn't register on UPS website. Does anyone know how long it takes for UPS tracking info to start showing?
