View attachment 672705 My MacBook arrived in Memphis via FedEx yesterday in the early morning. I was expecting to wake up to it being 20 minutes from my house, with hopefully an early delivery today (scheduled delivery for Thursday), but instead got a CLEARANCE DELAY! Out of Anchorage no less. My machine is in Memphis, so what in the world does that mean?!?!? :(:eek:

a bunch of us, probably all 15" stocks that hit Memphis yesterday received this message overnight. no one knows whats going on , just hoping for a new update soon

Did some research on this, it looks like our packages might be delayed an extra 1-2 days than original delivery. Also, some people mentioned calling Apple about this might help, as they are the ones not providing documentation, not FedEx.

I got the exact same clearance delay this morning. It was supposedly in Memphis in transit as of yesterday, but the clearance delay came from Anchorage

I got the same message too. Does anyone know actually where our shipment is?? I'm going to be pissed if it went from memphis to anchorage since memphis is only a 8 hour drive away from me and Alaska is on the other side of the continent.

Did you call apple? what did they tell you?

I ordered my stock 15/2.7/512 plus two BTO machines about 30 minutes after the keynote. All 3 15inch Space Gray.

One BTO shipped on Sunday.
One BTO still Processing.
Stock config still Processing.

Called my local Apple business team, and they have a stock config with my name on it available today. Going to pick that up and will only be waiting on the third machine.

My credit card sure is getting a workout these days.... o_O

Well I sure do wish mine was in Memphis since I'm just a state right next to TN. :(

I honestly don't think it is in AK. I think the logistics center is in AK. My guess is that they can hold a package at any FedEx site after they review the customs documents electronically in AK. I think a lot of UPS/FedEx flights actually go through AK so they have a whole hub set up there.

I just talked with Apple via the chat, they claim they can do nothing and to contact FedEx myself. They said it would probably be a 1-2 day delay, but with the ETA just before the weekend, that makes it a 4 day delay! I've had packages stay in customs for 2+ weeks. So I am not putting much faith in the 2 day delay comment. Someone at Apple/FedEx screwed up on the customs declaration and I have to pay for it in lost productivity.

You have got to be effin' kidding me. They've been playing with my emotions all week so far.....

This has happened with iPhones on several occasions. Delays were usually just a few hours, one day at the most. Don't panic.

Seems that the UPS planes must have been full of other stuff the past day or so. People sitting in Shanghai for days is crazy. But apple can only ship as much as UPS has room for them.

My loaded 13" had the same fedex delay, but was just released.
