I got the same thing. Called UPS they said the package isn't actually in the US yet, that they sent the paperwork over first so it gets cleared faster. I was originally quoted a delivery of tomorrow but UPS said its now Friday the 18th.
Uggghh

Was originally set to be delivered tmr to Portland or. But still no clearance from FedEx in Memphis... hopefully I get it by Friday.

also still stuck. wonder if the ones that were released this morning are 13"s only and 15"s are still stuck?

how do you know this for sure?
My 15" was released this morning

I thought ordering a stock model SG 15/2.7 would get shipped faster than a BTO and the specs were what I needed anyway, but it looks like a lot of the stock models shipped out ahead of the orders to go to the stores. Oh well what's another day? Time for lunch ...

I laughed my butt off when I saw that in the WSJ today. They say the 15" model is suitable to hold up to 5 pieces of sushi!

Have been lurking ever since order day, but figured I'd chime in to see if any other Canadians are in the same boat. my 2.9/16/460/512 15" SG dropped into Richmond, BC this morning on UPS. I now have an exception/clearance in progress.

11/16/2016 9:23 Your package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release. / Delivery will be rescheduled.
Richmond, BC, Canada 11/16/2016 9:23 Warehouse Scan
11/16/2016 7:41 Import Scan
11/16/2016 7:04 Arrival Scan

I was hoping to have the thing tomorrow in Lethbridge, AB but if clearance takes a day there's no chance.

Mine sat in Richmond all day yesterday but with just an Import scan. Then overnight it went Calgary and then Edmonton by 2am. I'm in Whitehorse so now they truck it to me. Still estimated for Friday for me but you could still get it tomorrow if in calgary late tonight.

Absolutely the right thing to to - upgrade the SSD to the max you can afford/will spend - and hang out here for another good month. I just can't imagine spending my life elsewhere than here ;)

lol. Really should have made the decision a while back rather than leaving it this late in the game. I think 512gb should suffice fine for most of the stuff I do, it was playing on my mind whether 256gb would be enough. The Non TB inspired me with hope for an upgrade at a later date. It doesn't surprise me the new SSDs are soldered in, they are with the MacBook, it's just the way Apple are moving.

As soon as I saw the reports the TB had soldered SSDs and wouldn't be able to upgrade later I thought I would definitely regret the 256gb. I've got an 16gb iPhone 5S - its totally frustrating - i don't have that much stuff on it but its permanently full. Always having to delete stuff, even so it's got to the point I can't even put any music on it! I definitely don't want this issue with a purchase I'm going to be using for a long time hopefully!

But totally agree with you. This thread is becoming an addiction! I've been reading MacRumors since around 2004ish. Been reading the Waiting for Skylake thread for more than a year prior ! Whats a few more weeks wait. It's going to be a massive jump for me from a 2010 MacBook Pro - finally I will have a retina screen lol!

Just called Fedex. For those stuck with "Clearance delay" you're most likely released , it just hasnt updated on the website. Fedex told me it was cleared by customs just 2 hours after the delay scan.

Some good news there, although she couldnt confirm that the package will indeed be delivered tomorrow.

originally ordered a 13 inch space grey 512 hard drive 16gb ram and the middle i5 on the 28th at 8 am (eastern) was given a 4-5 week shipping time (Montreal, Canada) today I decided to call my local Apple Store see if they had any in stock, lone behold they had a 13 inch space grey with 512gb hard drive 16gb of ram but the i7 I decided the extra 200$ was worth skipping 3 more weeks of waiting so I pulled the trigger, was the first one they sold in the store, the staff was almost more excited than I was haha, just glad I managed to get my machine early. They keyboard is different but you get used to it pretty quickly.

mine is scheduled for monday now :( 11/21

Same. Very disappointing since I saw others with nearly the same Shanghai export & arrival scans are stateside now.

What to believe, what to believe...

An email and a text message today from UPS saying I have a delivery from Apple tomorrow.
I canceled my dentist appt tomorrow to be home.

OR

The UPS website and app status that indicates delivery on Monday, 11/21.

??

This is almost as bad as the highs and lows of the "Waiting for Skylake" epic thread.

Getting the same mixed messaging from UPS after I had requested tomorrow off from work. I'm guessing the actual tracking page is what is accurate, tho, no?

I agree that using UPS's tracking is the way to go in terms of accuracy. That being said, a few pages ago people went from 11/17 to 11/18 to 11/21 back to 11/17 so I would like to believe its merely a matter of the system updating as progress is made. At least we're out of Shanghai and set to arrive in Anchorage in ~1 hour so lets see the turnaround there.

Picked mine up in store today. MBP 15" Space Gray, 1TB, 4GB Radeon. Ordered about 45min after it was available. Originally said Nov 25. Then on Sunday it got moved to Nov 17. Got it a day early. Now it's going to be difficult to sit at work and wait to get home.

This don't make sense.

Thanks! That helps- I didn't have a reference for clearance times in Richmond- I agree, if it hits Calgary anytime tonight I'm good for tomorrow.

I am glad I upgraded to the 1TB drive... it is a lot of money, but I couldn't hack it with 256GB on my 2012 rMPB I ended up hooking up an external SSD and hosting XCode on it alongside my Apple Photos and Lightroom catalogs. I have another drive to store media... It is annoying. I can't justify the 2TB price right now. I think 1TB should be enough.

YW.
The only difference is I never had that Clearance scan. Here is what mine looked like yesterday.

Where are you located? I'm in the same scenario, but no email from the Apple store yet.

Just out of interest has anyone in the UK/Europe actually received their MacBook Pros yet? I remember seeing a few people going into shipping some pages back i think.

Not yet. We are a bunch of people who got preparing for shipment last night and this morning, but still no status update. Searching by reference doesn't reveal anything either. We will probably have to wait until mid next week for the first to arrive..

I went with the 1TB too for the same reasons. That will be good for the OS drive for a long time, but if I need more, that usb-c port will let you plug in ever smaller and higher capacity fast drives...

Were you only charged today? I just chatted with an Apple rep and they confirmed that my order hasn't been charged yet :(

It looks like I was charged today around the same time it went to PFS. I had checked my card this morning and, at that point, it had no charge against it.
