2016 Macbook Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

Just got charged for BTO 15", I ordered November 1st. The pending charge however is less than my full purchase amount? That happen to anyone else?

i ordered on the 30th, delivery window is 7-13. so, about the same.

Yes. If you got AppleCare then the charged amount is just the amount for the hardware. AppleCare charge will hit once it activates (around shipping)

My order status changed this morning to Preparing for Shipment.

This is encouraging.. ordered 11/4 and decided not to check the forum for a week - glad to see November orders starting to go out!

it travled from china, to alaska, to central US, to canadian border and then "waiting for clearing agency" in otherwords, stuck in customs. UGH UPS sucks, why cant apple go back to FEDEX!
 
A tip for anyone in Belgium or The Netherlands: just noticed that coolblue has a few standard touchbar models in stock, marked as delivery tomorrow if ordered before midnight!

I'm looking for a higher spec BTO model, which they don't list unfortunately.
 
What are the odds of getting an order before the delivery window?? I've placed an order for a MBP 15" 2.7Ghz/512GB/460
My delivery window is 29th Dec - 4th Jan.

I decided to place this order after thinking thoroughly. I had initially placed an order for a MBP 13" nTB 2.0Ghz/512GB/8GB. I am supposed to get it sometime this week, but I am going to return it. Somebody knows what happens if you don't take the parcel from the courier. I read somewhere that Apple think you have cancel the order, but I am not sure though.

No lol just pick it up and return it. Imagine if the courier end up saying they lost your package or something and you dont get your money back

So i ordered the base 15" model (256GB, 2.6Ghz) on 4th Nov which has a delivery date of 8-13 Dec.

But now i think i want the next model up (512GB, 2.7Ghz). What would be the best thing for me to do? Cancel my current order and put new order through, or wait for the model i have ordered to arrive, then put new order for next model up and return?

Order the model you want, then cancel your current order while it hasn't been shipped. Otherwise, you will have to do the same as me; to pick the parcel from the courier and return it to Apple.
 
I bought the base 15 inch model with touchbar last Friday. AMA

I walked in store and bought it and I live in Knoxville TN. Have had it since last Friday.
 
Finally got charged this afternoon, and went to PFS
