I'm still waiting - posted above (I'll repost here). I called APPLE and they said not to worry. But I am worrying a little. I live in Paris and will be in the US from the 19th and leave on the 31st. So if it arrives after I'm gone it will not work. Someone suggested not to have a knipitian fit until tomorrow (the 7th). I saw that others in this thread had a notice "ships in 5 or 6 days). Why is mine 4 to 6 weeks (and that since I ordered on the 7th). Any explanations out there?
I'm not sure, but I think you'll see the original shipping estimate ("4 to 6 weeks") until your order goes to "Preparing for Shipment." And then you get a new timeframe, e.g. "ships in 5 or 6 days" or similar. I think that's the way it went with my order.
 
My order went to PFS last night. No change in the delivery date range though. Still says 4-5 weeks and gives a range of 12/14-12/20

Congrats! Once it ships the date will be updated. Mine shipped this morning to the Apple store and the delivery date appears to be 12/12, so you might still receive it in the range they gave you.
 
Ordered November 10th. Est delivery date December 19-23. Still no movement. it will be a month this friday.

15 Fully Spec'd except for the 1TB hd.
 
New to the forum but wanted to add my order stats since I've been silently following this thread to determine when my MBP order may ship and it's been helpful and helped me stay sane during the wait.

Ordered The evening of November 7th. 15" 2.9/512/460. Finally have a charge on my card about an hour ago and order page now states preparing for shipment. So happy to finally see some kind of change on that order page!

ETA- delivery date range was 12/14 to 12/20

I ordered the exact same computer two days before you and haven't seen any charge or preparation for shipment. Assuming you ordered space gray? Where is it shipping to? What country keyboard? Any education discount? I'm looking for reasons to be outraged, please give me some!
 
What do you want Apple to do? Put yours ahead of everyone else? Think about how many orders they've had for the new MacBook Pro's and how many different variations there are in terms of not only internals, but also cosmetic layouts for keyboard variations location by location. Apple's not doing this in spite of you - they aren't purposely trying to delay your new device.
I don't expect special treatment, just don't tell me it is taking this long because they are building it just for me. They are building thousands per day, my order is one of many.

I actually ordered silver. No discounts and shipping to California. ;)

You ordered the day after me and I am still stuck in processing, congratulations though, that is great.
 
I received mine earlier today and it's no longer starting up :( :( :(

I thought it was still better for battery life to first use it until it shut down on its own and then charge it again to 100%
(Now I've read this is no longer needed)
After it shut down, I tried charging it up again, but when I tried to start it up again I can't seem to get it to work... :(
Since there is no longer a light showing that it is charging I don't know if it is charging.
When I connect my usb-hub, it still shows a green light so I guess there should still be some power left in my macbook.
If I connect my charger to the usb-hub it also shows a green light so I would guess the charger is working as well :(

Has anybody heard of similar problems and possible sollutions?
 
unfortunately it was just past 7pm so I couldn't call them anymore and chat is not available in Belgium.
I hate it that I can't contact them now, shouldn't they have a 24hr service desk?
That sucks, sorry man. I don't have mine yet and in the reading I've done I haven't seen users have the issue that you're having. Wish I had a better answer.
