2016 Macbook Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

I wonder what Apple's shipping logic is....

One would assume it's FIFO due to the limited stock availability, but these records pretty much disprove that.

My order was placed 11/15 for 2.7/460/512GB, and mine is still in Processing.

I have the same exact one on order, but ordered 11/7, and when I called yesterday, she said it would be shipped on 12/20 (not delivered, only shipped). A full 6 weeks and 1 day after ordering. Others with our same model have already gotten theirs, ordered weeks after I did.

Mine has an Education discount too, and in theory it's shipping, however the tracking number isn't working and DHL's statements about this didn't confort me at all.

My November 10th order delivered today. 4 days before delivery window. I ordered a 13" i7 16Gb 512gb. It took 3 days to deliver from ship date.

I found two scratches. One near left speaker and the other near thunderbolt port on right. They're super tiny and I wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't looking for it. After hearing about all of the scratches people were finding I looked for myself.

I'm in love with this machine! Im coming from a 2011 13" base MacBook Pro. Hope the wait goes by fast for those that are still waiting.

Don't think so. I ordered December 1st with a 25% employee discount. Status changed to preparing for shipment yesterday, 12/14.

Specs: 15" SG/2.6/512/460 GPU (coming from a 13-inch, but I like the bigger screen for editing kid's yearbook spreads and the fact that it is not heavy like the old 15-inch ones so it is win-win seems like to me).

Honestly, I wasn't as freaked waiting as some on here just because my 2011 13" MBP was working fine despite spilling water inside it this summer (the rubber feet fell off and water got underneath...). Except for no sound most of the time, it had been working since I had the tools to open it up and dry it out ASAP. BUT, long story short, the past few weeks, the screen will go black every few minutes for a couple seconds. So, it's having more issues and starting to become a lot more antsy to get my machine!

Anybody use their old one as a Plex media server?

Honestly didn't mind waiting for the later batches so Apple could work out any kinks. So excited, haven't had a MBP since '07. That one plagued me with overheating issues.
