2016 Macbook Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

Ordered a 13" SG tbMBP/3.3 GHz/16 GB RAM/512 GB SSD on Nov. 4th. After (in spite of?) harassing numerous Apple employees my order status changed to "Preparing for Shipment" around 6 p.m. last night. This morning (around 4 a.m.) I received an email stating:

Due to an unexpected delay, we are unable to ship the following item(s)
by the date that you were originally quoted:


Z0TV, MBP 13.3 SPACE GRAY
will now ship on or before
Jan 03, 2017

Not cool, Apple...

Drat. My MBP was stuck in Shanghai for so long that it bumped my ETA from Dec. 23 to Dec. 28. Christmas is cancelled! Haha

That's really weird, sorry to hear that, that's a long time to wait.
There must have been issues with some parts or something, I can't think why else they would have pushed it back?!
 
Mine has shipped, but got the dreaded day-long holdover in Osaka before finally flying out to Anchorage about two hours ago. Delivery date is now December 28th, which is a bit of a disappointment.
 
Mine has been stuck in Incheon, Korea for 68 hours.

Initial Question: Delays are being reported for similar shipments from Apple. Can you give any more insight into my shipment? Will it still arrive on time?
Diana B.: I can tell you that we have a contractual agreement with some shippers, which limits the amount of packages that can be handed over to UPS on any given day, when this amount is exceeded, as in this case your shipment has a revised delivery date for 12/23 by end of day, pending normal customs clearance.

Scheduled date was 12/22.

I ordered the exact same model. However, I called B&H yesterday and they said that a shipment of MacBook pros are arriving to their warehouse on December 27th. The representative said that my order should be arriving by January 2nd. Hopefully yours will be in that shipment as well!

Mine moved from Incheon, Korea 13:07 to Almaty, Kazakhstan 16:35
 
I ordered the MacBook Pro 13" TB with 256GB and 16GB RAM on Nov 29th and it just got delivered today Dec 20th. It was scheduled to be delivered yesterday but UPS must be overwhelmed due to the holidays. I haven't seen it yet, but I will when I get home today. I'm tempted to go home and lunch and get it.
 
I ordered a SG 15inch 2.9, 512, 460 - December 5th. Apple notified me that they dispatched and i received a DHL tracking code yesterday morning. Still stuck in Shipment Information Received so far. Almost 2 days without any updates. (to Portugal). Is it normal to be stuck like this so long?

Wow! Landed in Anchorage and UPS has updated estimated delivery back to Dec 22!
 
Forgot to say that I received mine yesterday! 2.7. 460, 512GB space grey ordered on November 6th. Took a long time to get here, but now I have just about everything loaded onto it! It really runs fast!

Thank you both for the data point. Mine is currently on a flight from Osaka to Anchorage after being delayed a day. Fingers crossed that delivery estimate will bounce back to the 22nd (after getting a day delayed to the 23rd), seeing as there's a flight from Anchorage to Louisville a couple hours after the first flight lands.
