OooF FINALLY! After two months of waiting I was able to place my order today. I'm going to France to pick it up, cause I got a better deal there. ONE QUESTION, if someone can indulge me. Why does the Belkin USB-C to USB-B have a delivery date for the end of february???

I watched my MacBook fly from Shanghai to Amsterdam last Friday. Then on Saturday I thought I had watched the wrong flight. But then I found out it was the right one after all. It is stupid how happy I was about it, but I guess the thrill of anticipation is the best (we have a German saying 'Vorfreude ist die schönste Freude' that doesn't translate well). Waiting for the MBP was nerve-racking and annoying, but it was also a lot of fun!
I agree, the infrastructure we have in place amazes me. I had a similar experience watching my iPhone 7+ make it's way to me.
Yeah thanks, will do. Going to ring up tech support tomorrow to try and solve it and if not it looks like I'll be getting a replacement unit.
Tried everything, even did a hardware test to see if anything was wrong, nothing apparently! Will be talking to Apple tomorrow about it. I'm really hoping it can be fixed without the need for a replacement unit!
Sadly not yet, I'm not stressing, my wife is coming back from being overseas for the last 10 days, my Mac would be nice, but thankfully I will have the best distraction!
And I have now been to.d the initial charge on my credit card was a temporary authorisation hold, which is being reversed, and then I am being charged again when it actually ships.
Either apple are now using the worst possible approach to credit card charges ever, or the sales support person knows nothing.

Anyways I kept refreshing the page like a hundred times and mine just changed to ship like ten min ago! With upsFIXED. Turns out I had Firevault on so my hard drive was being encrypted and because I was using it on battery on not on the wall adapter it was stuck in the middle of encrypting so it must have limited my write speeds. After turning off Firevault I got this..

Lucky! Unfortunately, ours are BTO and not a standard config. I even called all Apple stores in a 100 mile radius
.There's a chance that it made it to another country but FedEx probably won't update till the holidays are over.
Having been a "lurker" for over 12 months, used this website to watch for the arrival of the 2016 model.....spent hours reading countless threads on everything basically, then spent time pondering on when to buy, decided against it and wanted to wait for a refresh etc......but as we know there is always something else around the corner........purchased on Thursday from John Lewis, £200 off and 2 year guarantee, arrived Friday (15"/2.6/256gb/450)

Looks like it was a Christmas thing. I got the same thing (512GB SSD) and have the same shipping window. Ordered on 12/24.
