I hope the Cubs win tonight just so the series continues.
Well, it's not really that bad. They even said on the broadcast that the Cubs won game 6 of the 1945 World Series at Wrigley. I imagine that they won a game there in the 1932 series also. I don't believe that they have won the final game of a World Series at Wrigley. The 1907 and 1908 Cubs had not moved into the "new" stadium, as I recall hearing the story told before. Or, at least, they won the final games on the road.Chapman was pitching for the first World Series "W" in the history of Wrigley
Then it's not as bad, but still, 1945?Well, it's not really that bad. They even said on the broadcast that the Cubs won game 6 of the 1945 World Series at Wrigley. The Cardinals fanbase is notoriously pathetic.wow. that's just mean.
i will be happy with which ever team wins.
Well, it was one of the longest "droughts" in American pro sports. I imagine it felt even better for fans who were pulling for the Cubs before some or even all of the current players on the team were born. Then it's not as bad, but still, 1945?
It had to feel really good for the Cubs.
The Cardinals fanbase is notoriously pathetic.
And I'm a White Sox fan.
A big gratz to the Cubs for winning the World Series . First time in 108 years.
I hope the Indians can finish this up in Game 6. I don't ever want to see the Cubs win a World Series in my life time.
