Might as well buy a laptop at that price point, at least then you'll get a real filesystem.

Please explain your snarky. the Files.app is a real file system, as are many available third party apps, I use documents by Readdle. I also use Onedrive, and Google Drive which are fully integrated in the Files.app and into Documents. documents also allows me to connect to USB drives and my time capsule Seems like you are stuck somewhere on ios 10.

But maybe your snark was not clear, I interpreted you to mean file browser. The actual file system, is well a real file system

and Keyboard and Pen for free, 4K display, dedicated graphics, expandable memory, bigger display, bigger SSD, better audio for anywhere $1000-$1450 i7 8th Gen... Not sure who would be paying so much for content consumption... May be I am wrong since this is Apple tablet...

For me the iPad Pro was the main artist of the show.

I'm an owner of the 10.5" and the iPhone X and was ready to give the iPad Pro away to my half and. I was truly impressed until I've noticed that they bumped the price up and than pause ...

This is something that is really starting to bug me quite a lot every year! I remember the times of SJ when they launched more advanced stuff at a lower price than the competition flagships. That for me was another touch of genius of SJ when they lunched the iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4S ... the devices that made the revolution not what cama after to milk it ... I felt that the company had a sense of fair play back then with their loyal customers. Even if you were a bit skint on money one could still do it. That is how I felt the world could change.

What I see now with this increasing price bumps is something totally different. It's not about changing the world anymore but making a buck out of anything, including their stupid keyboard. The Trumps of the world and the Wall Street became their best friend I guess. Never though that artists were the ones with the money in this world. So I guess the product its about making you feel like an artists even though ...
Give it about 5 years. Apple bubble will burst! The competition has been aggressively catching up to them with similar or even better solutions at better prices. Apple will alienate a huge chunk of people with their pricing. It's no longer reasonable at all. The executives have gotten very comfortable with their multi-million bonuses.

I know Apple said; it is not about selling the most products, but the best products. BUT the best products are the ones in most people hands. Apple is pushing the limit as to how much they can get for their devices. It is dangerous territory, as pushing price to much will sell less units. Developers creates apps and software for products that are in everyones hands. I loved seeing the new iPad, but at this price point, given I just bought the iPhone XS, I’ll stick with my iPad 10.5 Pro for 2-3 years more.

Pros generally work on local copies, cloud sync is used more as backup except for documents, sheets, slides

This part is funny, “Apple’s argument is that, for creative professionals, the arrival of apps like true Photoshop in 2019”.

In 2019, there will be a new processor ‘2x as fast’ as this one in the new iPad, and photoshop will work like crap on it. Nice try.

I love it when a reviewer says something “feels pro” as if it felt less pro before then.

First time I ever thought to myself I would want an iPad Pro however I feel it should’ve been an OLED panel and that currently as is are $100 overpriced, even for Apple.

Did they say if the now "old" Apple Pencil works with the new iPad Pro? Hope so...

Apple's website says neither are not compatible with each other. But I can only imagine because Apple chooses not to support it.

Pairing it will be a pain. You’d need a USB-C to Lightning cable, then use the charging attachment that comes with the original pencil.

A pain yes, but a better option than springing for a new $129 Pencil.

There's no reason a simple charging pad couldn't be used to charge it when not in use. Or a simple dongle. But pairing is the bigger issue here. While I"m sure an easy way could be found to charge it, Apple would have to support the pairing process over that dongle. And that seems to be the rub, going in both directions.

The speed of this thing is mind blowing. Looking forward to checking one out at the Apple store soon.

Not sure if I'm going to get one yet. Definitely miss having an iPad since selling my Mini 4!

The important function of file system is to let all apps to works it (transparently for the user) and not to have a special app for it.

Damn, the back is really ugly... how come they left the camera bump on a tablet, it's like people don't use it on a table and the iPad doesn't shake when you touch the display.

They are out of their minds to remove the goddamn headphone jack from this "Pro" device.

But the biggest insolence is that the "old" Apple Pencil from previous Pro Models won't work with the new iPads. This is simply unbelievable.
