2 year Verizon upgrade due in Feb 2018, so I think I’ll just hold out my 6s plus until September. Exciting!
Apple give us a smaller OLED please!
I don’t see why upgraded antenna design is of any real consequence for U.S. customers. The LTE iPhones are already capable of much faster throughput than most U.S. customers have ever been able to achieve.
When will these signals become too strong to be healthy ?
What they gonna call this? An iPhone 8S? iPhone 9 iPhone 11? iPhone X squared? iPhone X2? iPhone XI? I’m confused!?
Notch or full-width bezel, it’s one of the other.
Apple’s made their choice, now you can make yours.![]()
Does “ten two” make any sense though? I’ve just been calling it the 2018 X and 2018 X Plus. For the new 6.1” LCD, 9 makes sense.I vote for X2

The current Qualcomm X16 modem used in the iPhone 8, 8+, and X already supports 4x4 MIMO and 256 QAM. Apple chose to disable those features. Most likely due to the Intel modem not being as capable.
Maybe not, with Apple. At least, there’s no way they’ll drop the ears for a full width bezel; that ship has sailed. It looks like I may not get a choice in 2018.

However, if that 6.1” is for real, I don’t know that it gets a notch, it might just get a full width bezel at top (not as large as on the 6/7/8 series though) with minimal bezels on the sides and bottom.
Rounded corners I can believe but I’m not at all sure about a notch on the LCD model.
Qualcomm modems? I don’t think so after this patent battle.
All I see is notches...
True, but that doesn't mean the situation won't change in the future. You never know what's in store for us years from now.I don’t see why upgraded antenna design is of any real consequence for U.S. customers. My guess would be they change how they name the phones like "iPhone Edition" or "iPhone Pro"/"iPhone Plus"
They're here to stay, and I venture to say, many will agree the notch beats 'bezels' and 'chins'. For those who can't get over it, use one of the notch remover Apps. All I see is notches...
