SC has robbed us of some great racing. Expect Lewis to drive off into the distance when it resumes. Played well for Vettel as well. He’s leapfrogged his team mate and the RB’s.

Good to see McLaren as best of the rest.

Vettel needs to go back to race driving school the dumb ass idiot....

I highly suspect the stewards will be penalising him for that disgraceful driving!

Perhaps that’s how Ferrari are going to drive now against the Red Bulls, ram them off the track hard?

But a 10 second penalty when you are running last does nothing to hurt him.

I think he will retire this year. Who knows.

He needs to if he rams people when they are braking for corners! Not exactly something new to him...
Although I won’t be surprised if he did it on purpose because he knows he wasn’t going to come anywhere today and LeClerc again would.

This hasn’t been dull or boring. Maybe F1 isn’t your sport.

Vettel just takes out Max! What a shame for RB.

Yes it is when the same team wins race after race after race after race... it’s why F1 viewing figures are plummeting.
The team also deliberately handed the win to Lewis with their strategy and took the win away from Botas. It is the sport for me but not when the same team wins who play dirty back room politics! I am considering scrapping my F1 subscription next year actually.

Good win for Lewis. Most wins at the British Grand Prix for any driver.
Although it looks like they were miles ahead, the safety car and 3rd and 4th coming together, made it look easier than it was. RB have really made up time on Ferrari.
Good battle between McLaren and Renault further back as well.
Lots of overtaking and attempts.

Nope. That’s not what happened. Lewis was fortunate to get a free tyre change because of the SC. Bottas was not. That’s just luck. Nothing to do with Mercedes.

You should have watched it on Sky then.. that was race strategy that put Lewis in front on purpose.

??? Where you watch it doesn’t change the facts. SC helped some. Cost others.
The lead driver gets the first pit. So Bottas came in first. Lewis decided to go a little deeper (no doubt hoping to have more rubber later).
The SC came just at the right time for him. Would he have won without it? Maybe. But it would have been close.

Congrats to Leclerc for Driver of the Day. Well deserved. Heart felt condolences to Bottas. Should have been P1. ;)
Agreed. LeClerc drove well, as did Max and Gasly.
Bottas doesn’t get the run of the green very often.

It does when the presenters get it direct from the horses mouth as to what went on.... and they are all ex F1 drivers so know the games played.

Yeap totally agree.

For me, the best RACE of the season, thus far. And, the drivers were ‘allowed’ to race.

Leclerc drove very well. He is certainly one to keep and eye on. And, Max, was his usual brilliant forceful self.

Let’s hope the remaining races are like this, ENTERTAINING...

Did you see the last race?

A very entertaining race. Bottas was unlucky on the timing of the safety car. Lewis was lucky. Luck happens in F1.

Lewis getting the extra point for Fastest Lap was amazing, considering he did it on thirty-lap old hard compound tires. And Bottas had just put on a set of softs. Whether Mercedes told Bottas to back off his Fastest Lap attempt or not would be an interesting question. But what was really amazing to me was Lewis Hamilton risking a certain race win, and 25 championship points, just for the satisfaction of putting an exclamation point next to his win.

Even Lewis has found F1 to be boring and has big problems.. don’t suppose anyone noticed did they? Yet again Mercedes were out in front by over 20 seconds again, I can’t remember if that was from second place or anyone behind Red Bull and Ferrari. that’s the fault of Mercedes though because they didn’t allow their drivers to race each other, so I’m not sure what Lewis thinks he will do? I’d the drivers race they lose time and don’t streak ahead.

The report says their are doubts big changes will be made in 2021, if they don’t then the sport is finished.

Great race, more due to the fact that Ferrari have relatively slipped back so Red Bull can challenge rather than everyone catching Mercedes. Can’t see Haas completing the season with the same drivers following another collision - again appeared more Magnussen than Grosjean. Interestingly their reserve drive is Pietro Fittipaldi (grandson of Emmo) who appears to have superlicence points.

Mercedes didn’t allow their drivers to race? Did you see the same race as the rest of us? Looked like lots of racing to me. Right up until Bottas went in for tyres and Lewis stayed out until the SC. He then had an huge advantage due to lucky timing.
Not Lewis’s fault. Not Bottas’s fault. Not Mercedes fault.
