May 12th 4pm (EDT): Apple emails that order has shipped. Estimated delivery: May 15th.
May 12th 6pm: FedEx sends text: Estimated Delivery: May 14th end of day.
Does anyone know if FedEx could be even earlier than its own estimate, like UPS?
Also, FedEx states the pick up location was Middletown, PA today, not Shanghai.
Right!? I really hate online shopping - especially right now with this pandemic going on. I'm SO tempted to cancel my order and just get the base model from BH Photo. It would be here Friday and then I wouldn't have to deal with stalking Apple's website anymore. 🤣 🤣 🤣
I still up no updates on mine when I ordered around 30 minutes after launch? Anyone with the same configurations get shipping notifications for their laptop yet? I think the i7 and 32gb ram may be the reason for delay for this BTO
I don’t think I have seen a “true” BTO order ship yet. The only custom units (which actually are going to be sold with stock on hand at retail stores) are the i7/32/2 TB units and it seems like some have already received these.
We are all playing the waiting game hahha!
Same configuration. Only difference is mine is Silver. I ordered late afternoon on the 4th, but received the same delivery window. Still no charge. Still Processing. Hoping to see an update by the weekend. Tomorrow will be a week away from the start of the delivery window.
As soon as I see a charge or a shipping notice I’ll post here in the thread.
I’ve got the 1 TB version, ordered the 5th nothing changed here, stil no cc changes.
Anyone please feel free to correct me if I am wrong although I am fairly certain Apple has a distribution center in PA. Likely where your Mac is coming from!
Strange development, my card authorisation has dropped off the bank but my order is still Processing at Apple for my i7 10th-gen 32GB 2TB. When I first ordered on 5 May it said delivery was between 14 May to 21 May. Still says arriving 21 May though for a UK-bound shipment.
Same here, although my CC hasn't been charged at all 🤔 I assume the 21 May delivery date will be updated once it's shipped.

So unsurprisingly the delivery date won’t be today. Slipped to Friday, but at least it seems like it’s on its way to the US if its not here already. Can’t wait!

Man I’m so jealous, my card got charged yesterday but it’s still processing... enjoy!
People get far too hung up on credit card authorisations. They regularly disappear off of what you see online after a period of time. When the item is ready to ship the charge will reappear, very likely as a completed charge.
There is no fixed way of these things working. It varies between retailers and credit card providers. Even with the same retailer and card I have seen multiple variations in the way the authorisation/charge process happens.
It often causes concern, especially on threads like this where people report what they are seeing and others expect to see the same.
