2020 MacBook Pro order status

I didn't order through Apple until last weekend, so was still stuck on processing and had a delivery date of the 27th. It would probably have come quicker than that, but now have a guaranteed delivery date of Sunday with John Lewis. Cost me an extra £6.95 for that delivery, but well worth it if only to stop the constant refreshing of the Apple Order status. :)

Cancelled my Apple Store order of 10th Gen i5/16/512 from the 5th which was due for delivery up to the 26th and ordered from Currys in the UK with some workplace discount and it's arriving tomorrow.

My base 2020 8th gen i5 is being collected Monday.
 
ordered i7/32gb/1tb/space gray 20 minutes after release. it shipped last night but on fedex it shows that it left the shanghai facility -> in transit -> something happened and now it’s back in shanghai facility. it says it’s arriving on the 20th though.

The magic KB is pretty good. Better than expected!
Mind you, I was coming from a 2010 MBP. That keyboard had quite the key travel.

The Touch Bar I have to get used to, but everything else exceeds my expectations.

This will be my first MacBook with a Touch Bar. Looking forward to learning about it. Heard there are some cool tools out there that really allow you to have a lot of control over what shows up and when.

Ordered on May 9th and still processing after 1 week in Japan.
Really want to find somewhere else to order the English keyboard version beside the Apple store but no hope.
Does anyone know where allows me to order and ship to Japan? Too slow than expected.

Mine has "shipped" but FedEx is just saying "Shipment information sent to FedEx" and it has a delivery date of tomorrow but hasn't moved all day 🤷‍♂️

Still trying to find all the neat things that the Touch Bar can do. Out of the box, the functionality isn't great. But does have a lot of potential with various apps and tweaks.
 
UK Order for i7/16/512 in silver placed 12 days ago on the 4th May has finally gone from “processing” to “preparing to ship”.

Original delivery window 18th-26th May. My guess is that I’ll be lucky if it gets here by next Friday (22nd).

Do you have a short list of Touch Bar apps I could try or learn about that would give more functionality?

The expected delivery window at checkout was May 20-28th and that hasn't changed. I was getting antsy on the 12th, so I contacted Apple to make sure my card had been approved, and they said: "We have everything we need to complete your order". In retrospect, I realize how clever that wording is: it would be true even if the computer hadn't been assembled and they had no idea when to do so. All they told me is that they have all of the parts. My card was charged on the 13th, so I hope that means it's coming soon.

I really hope Apple's status tracker is accurate -- the front office (where Apple couriers have gone in the past instead of coming to my apartment directly -- can't blame them, it's a big complex) is closed for social distancing so I was hoping to arrange to pick up the package rather than playing returned to sender roulette or whatever.

Constantly refreshing the order page has got to make it ship faster right 😂

Today 16th changed to preparing shipment, estimate in apple website is 21th -> 27th, i have a question, i will pick applecare plus,but i didnt order in the same moment of the order, the 60 days starts when they ships or the day you bought?

Better touch tool is the best among all of them. It is not free though. But I’m getting it. And there is a huge BTT community who release interesting customisations.

Card was charged 2 days ago but status still processing. Feels like this is taking a really long time compared to usual - don’t think I’ve ever had an Apple order not hit the first day of the delivery window or before but this might be the first.
 
For anyone impatient like me, John Lewis currently has the 2020 10th Gen / 2.0GHz / 16GB /512GB model in stock (Space Grey only). I’ve cancelled my Apple order and it’s being delivered tomorrow. 😊

Well my Monday delivery with DPD has just arrived right now (Saturday). So clearly was already in the country (UK).

Lucky you! I knew I shouldn’t have jumped the gun by asking them to deliver on Sunday instead of just letting them get on with it and they were probably going to deliver it today anyway instead of Monday. Mine’s now held at the depot until tomorrow.
