2020 MacBook Pro order status

I don’t know what just happened but now UPS tracking number is showing as invalid and on the Apple order page it’s saying Processinf. Wtf? Yesterday it showed it had been shipped and departed China with arrival date of May 21st. It’s back to processing and arrival between May 22-28. Anyone ever seen this Happen before? I even got an email from Apple saying it was shipped.

It’s a shame there aren’t any Bluetooth magic keyboards that also have the touch bar. I will Primarily be using my MacBook connected to a 27 inch monitor and use a separate magic keyboard and mouse with the MacBook as my secondary display. That’s my office setup. I think there could be some good uses For a touch bar are on those keyboards and these types of setup configurations as well.

Mind you, I was coming from a 2010 MBP. That keyboard had quite the key travel.

Nothing. UPS driver didn't come to my area for the second day in a row. I got an email saying delivery has been rescheduled again for end of day Tuesday. Tracking has now kicked back to "In transit", "Delivery date unavailable" and it's still only showing the destination scan from Thursday. And I can't call UPS because the Canadian offices are closed until Tuesday. I also tried changing the delivery address to an access point, but apparently Apple doesn't allow that. A little frustrated, seeing as where it's allegedly sitting is 25 minutes away from me, and is taking 5 extra days to get to me (if that happens).

I may go the route of calling Apple, see if they can do anything from their side. I wouldn't be worrying if I had some UPS scan data to tell me where it is.

I get that these are unprecedented times, I get that delivery companies are swamped, but the lack of communication and information is driving me nuts. I need to know if I need to open an incident for a lost/stolen package.

Well this is different. I checked my order status this morning. It had said Processing. Now it is back to Ordered. But my payment moved from pending to processed. Arrival dates are still May 21-29.
 
My order status went back to 'order placed' on Apple.com as well. UPS tracking says my package is in Anchorage, AK with delivery for 21 May. Must be a system issue, I wouldn't worry if you've already received the email with shipping/tracking info from Apple.

Thanks, I feel a bit better now :) Who knew waiting for this would be such an ordeal - 1st world problems I know :) I'm just excited to get my hands on this. It's my first mac upgrade since 2013.

I have not received any email updates. I have the original order conformation and nothing else. Just weird that it jumped back to ordered. Makes me wonder if someone who updates orders is working from home and is either loosing it or having a blast messing with everyone! Since I was working from home for a while I can relate. o_O
 
Early this morning I got a "Your shipment is on it's way email" with a Fedex tracking number, and my order moved to "Shipped" for a few hours, now it's back to "Order Placed". Hopefully it's just a bug with Apple's order processing system and not a problem with my shipment falling off the truck, etc. The Fedex tracking number shows it in Shanghai, delivery of Wednesday morning. i5/32/2TB, Midwest US.

Last night my cc was charged and my order changed to "Preparing to Ship." This morning it went back to "Order Placed" and the date changed to May 27-June 3. :( It also now says I can't make changes to the order.

When I ordered, I didn't have an option for expedited shipping. I don't know why.
 
Guys ignore the current order date it’s just a bug. My order which was preparing to ship now just throws an error and another order (of a power supply) now was also moved back by a month. I’m sure it gets fixed by Monday at the latest and our orders shouldn’t be impacted.

For the record I ordered a 16" MBP on Tuesday and this happened to me this morning as well.

OR, hear me out here, we could keep refreshing like squirrels on speed and know the EXACT SECOND the bug is fixed.

Or we could do it your way. Whatever.

Last update from me :)

Ordered Space Grey i7 10th gen/512/16 shortly after launch on the 4th, original eta was May 27th.

Card Charged on the 11th
Processing until the 14th
Shipped with UPS on the 15th
Scheduled to arrive with me on the 18th - Just cleared customs and left China so looks like it should be fine.

Quite the ride but glad it's coming way before the eta. Good luck!

For UPS is “export scan” in Shanghai the last scan before it leaves China? It’s been static for about 36hrs so I’m assuming it’s in transit to US?
 
moved from processing to preparing to ship yesterday, now I log in and my order status is unavailable...can't see any of my open or past orders. Now what am I going to do since I can't refresh the page obsessively?
 
same here.... status went back to ordered... but also my amex payment disappeared... god I so deeply hate that company at times. for a computer firm its unbelievable how many glitches they have.
it better be coming next week
