Huh--I never would have thought of doing this, but I just looked out of curiosity for the FedEx flights out of Anchorage, and sure enough, as soon as the flight took off, my tracking status updated to "Departed FedEx location." Clever!

i7/32gb/1TB Space Gray
Ordered May 4th
Shipping to Pittsburgh, PA
Current status: Departed FedEx location, Anchorage, AK (via Shanghai)
same config, order date, status, and current location!

Order date: May 11
Estimated delivery: May 19-27
Current Status: Processing
Country: US - Michigan

Absolutely no chance it comes earlier in the estimate right?

My order was same item, same order date and delivery estimate and still no c.c. charge. My hands and wrists are killing me due to my butterfly keyboard! Apple please take my money!

Am I in the running for idiot of the year if I only just realized the reason everything seems to happen overnight is because China is exactly 12 hours ahead?

I have ordered the same spec on 5/11. Region - IL
I have contacted Apple Support many times. It is still in processing and they have not yet charged my cc... Hoping it will arrive before Memorial day !

I have been to China and it is confusing. You arrive 12 hours ahead and return 12 hours behind. Makes for wonderful jet lag!

Mine is shipping to Calgary and my UPS tracking shows:
We currently have the package. The receiver requested clearance by a non-UPS broker. / As requested, the package was transferred to a Free Trade Zone or a non-UPS broker.

Its been stuck on this since Friday, but Saturday, Sunday, and Monday aren't business days.

Yes, the route is normally Shanghai, China > Incheon, Korea (1 hr flight + 2-3 hours stop gap) > Anchorage, USA (7 hrs flight + 2-3 hrs stop gap) > Cologne, Germany (8 hrs flight).

My package was on this flight on 17/18 May from Shanghai to Germany, so you can check the activity log —https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS87/history/20200517/2152Z/RKSI/PANC. It arrived in Germany at 6PM yesterday and it's now out for delivery since 9AM this morning.

If you don't live near Cologne, you might have to wait for delivery on the next day because the package would be flown using local or inter country passenger or cargo airlines to your nearest UPS hub.

I only see a flight from Korea to Anchorage on the link you provided.
I live in Aachen, so it could work on same day, right?

ok.

but let's just stop here.

can we all agree that this is ludicrous.

it's a grown up company. WHY on earth, at a product launch, couldn't they have ample stock?

shouldn't this just be the case of sticking an address label on a box and shipping it. Even BTO you would be able to have in stock? You would kn ow that all variations will be ordered in the beginning.

Why does a company need 11 plus days, just to ship a product?

I needed to get that off my chest.

Seems like im getting mine today delivered by UPS! Ordered on 10th, expected delivery was 28th, so if all good thats 9 days earlier than initially estimated!

Might be some issues with covid, although from what I can recollect, this situation is not unique for Apple.

I think there's another flight leaving in just over an hour as well?

Looks like mine ended up departing on UPS67 https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS67/history/20200518/2239Z/PANC/KSDF

I think it'll miss the main hop to DTW today, so I'm gonna guess that mine won't actually be out for delivery until Thursday. Shame since it's only due to the nearly 8 hour flight delay.

Has anyone's order been through TNT Express for Delivery (Switzerland) ?
The wait is excruciating, been shipped on Friday, supposed to arrive tomorrow. (I initially thought 5 days was a long time), but no news since a last scan at PVG, so afraid it's gonna miss the delivery target?

13” i5/16/1TB ordered from BestBuy May 10 delivered today. Should have been delivered 5/15 but good old UPS f’ed it up.

Waiting a day or two for the coronavirus to die off the box and then I’ll check it out.
Wow... I would be so incapable of that! Letting my fresh Mac delivery idle for a couple of days..
I'll probably grab a dettol wipe but would rip the box open even before the delivery guy could get back to his truck!

Finally! Woke up to my CC having been charged and status moved to prep to ship. Fingers crossed it'll get here before the weekend.

I'm assuming it'll ship from somewhere in the EU? (as opposed to coming from China) It's not a BTO.

Edit: Delivered by DPD, shipped to me from inside the UK.
