Ordered May 5th, i7, 16gb, 512gb, space grey. Received today!!! In Ohio, US.

So far I love it! The keyboard is a lot better. The key travel is better and it is quieter than my 2017 13" MBP.

I did a migration and it took about 30 minutes to move 177gb. I then installed Premiere pro, moved a project I am working on and sent out a 12 minute video that is full of transitions and a bunch of other fancy stuff. It took 12minutes to encode even with indexing going on. I did notice it used 10gb of memory. I know Premiere is a memory hog! It got a bit warm but not uncomfortably so and the fans never kicked in that I could hear.

I will keep stressing it as I am still wondering if I should have gotten the 32gb. I want it for a back up for when I am away from my desktop but need to create content for work. Covid-19 has given me a new perspective on how I work!!

UPS drove past my house today. No MacBook for the fourth day in a row.

Nothing more to say, really. I acknowledge that the pandemic has caused massive backlogs but it seems there's no end in sight. I now have to make some sort of alternative arrangement for my work from home.

The only reason I didn't order from Best Buy was because they quoted me a May 27-28 delivery date. Apple quoted me May 20, so I rolled the dice knowing they ship UPS.

At this rate, I'll be lucky to get it on May 28th.
That sucks. Rene Ritchie has complained about UPS Canada. In the US they are fine. Odd how it works. Hopefully it arrives Monday.

Wow. That’s insane. I love this machine. I thought I may have some regret not waiting for the 14 inch model but I have absolutely no regrets whatsoever. Such an awesome form factor.

I'm so satisfied by how much faster this is than my 2013 i7 MacBook Pro -- roughly 2x single core , 3x multicore, 8.5x OpenCL, and 50x Metal performance (!) according to Geekbench. Certainly no way I can return this machine and go back to my old laptop to wait out another year at this point - I think I'm ruined for any other computer now.

Hope everybody's machines come soon and you all are similarly happy with them!

Nice. Great choice. I have the Ice Lake i5 but am equally satisfied. This is a keeper.

Ordered mine at the end of the first week. My i5,16,1TB 13inch MBP was supposed to be delivered by Tuesday, it still hasn’t been delivered yet.

I contacted UPS and they said they lost it and they’re gonna spend up to 8 to 10 business days doing a Trace Investigation.
I called Apple and they said that they’ll escalate it and get back to me in 3 business days, they said they might need to reorder one for me.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how I move forward? I’m so disappointed, and at this rate I’m not sure when it’ll arrive.
Does Apple give any store credit or something for situations like these?

MBP 13 10th gen
i5/32/512 Space Gray
Ordered: 5/5
Estimated delivery: 5/21-5/29
Current status: Processing
Country: US/Arizona

After some shipping delays/changes I did end up receiving it 5/22. I coming from a 2015 13” MBP so the speed increase is noticeable as well as a nice size decrease. The keyboard isn’t a big change for me since my 2015 is pre butterfly. A couple of somewhat negative notes are it is a shame the backlight logo is gone, I’m going to really miss MagSafe, and the touchbar seems annoyingly silly.

There are quite a few MagSafe-like USB-C charger cables out there, some of which even support data transfer.

Estimated delivery: 27 May (Original delivery window: 29 May - 4 June)

Anyone in the same boat?

Mine was supposed to arrive yesterday but status changed at 9am to say it had been delayed due to circumstances beyond their control. Now arriving on Tuesday as it's a bank holiday here in the UK on Monday. Depot is 15 minutes drive from here and they wouldn't let me go and get it. My mood yesterday was not good.

DHL tracking is the worst. No indicated delivery date, no info on what's happening really.

Latest status: Departed Facility in EAST CHINA AREA - CHINA MAINLAND. Would this mean it's on its way to Dubai?

I’m with DHL as well and it’s still on shipment picked up Shanghai. It’s been 5 days now and still stuck there. You think it would be on a plane by now.

MacBook Pro 13” 10th Gen i7/32GB/1TB

Nice! Where’s that skin from?
what country? I'm in Europe, ordered the same thing that day, and my estimate was June 9-15, which changed to June 15 and it's still Processing :( I ordered the same exact config.

So mine arrived today. Beautiful machine. But. It’s got a tiny dent on the edge. That’s the second one I’ve had with the same issue!

I've been in touch with UPS Canada's Twitter Support and he told me my package is in an unloaded trailer waiting to be unloaded for delivery. Pretty much what I've suspected. I can't imagine that calling in, I'll be told anything else. I am hoping this is based off internal tracking and not just a copy paste reply that they give out when they see "destination scan".

I'm going to give it until next week, I guess. I think I just got unlucky here and it really is on an unloaded trailer. Someone else just had one of their packages show up after no scans since the 12th. This seems to be the norm. I just hadn't really been impacted until now. Unfortunate as out of all the packages we've had UPS, this is the only one I actually need as it's for work from home. 😂

I wonder if it's the weight. 8.4lbs isn't much...but higher than all our other UPS packages and I do suspect they "hold" heavier packages due to limited space on trucks because of the volume of packages waiting to be delivered. People have had shipments from Wayfair that came in two parts, they'd get one delivered and the second - much heavier - package would come like a week later.

I’m in the exact same situation as you, it’s stuck at Concord for a week and UPS said they lost it.

Oh boy....now I'm really worried mine is also lost. I don't know what to think. I am aware there are massive backlogs at Concord so packages can and do get held up in unloaded trailers. Some people wait 2 weeks or longer to get their package. But the package does eventually show up. I wonder if yours is actually lost or customer service had no idea what to say and told you whatever just to get you off the phone?

Regardless, given you said yours is lost and this is the only UPS package I've had impacted in such a way, I am leaning towards mine is lost too.

After the destination scan on the 18th, I figured it'd show up on the 19th. Every day since, I keep hoping it'll show up the next day.

What does your tracking look like? Mine looks like this. They're not bothering with delay statuses.

oh my god. I thought I was the only one, but my situation is identical to yours. It said it would be delivered by EOD Wednesday but that never happened, I waited for 1 hour on the phone with UPS twice since Wednesday and they said they contacted Concord and they don’t know where my package is! UPS is now going to do a Trace Investigation which will take 8 to 10 business days.

I called up Apple on Friday and they’re escalating the situation, said they’ll get back to me in 3 business days. They also said that if UPS actually did lose it then they would reorder a new model, I’m afraid that’s gonna take forever.
Do you think Apple would throw some store credit or something our way for the loss?
Keep me updated on your situation!

Oh wow, our tracking is basically identical. Less than an hour apart. You are the second guy with an Apple package stuck at Concord. There's someone on Reddit who ordered an iPad - it shipped on the 15th. Origin scan on the 18th with a destination scan at 14:40.

All three of us have near identical tracking information out of Concord and our packages have yet to show up. What are the odds all three were lost or stolen? Seems more likely our packages really are on an unloaded trailer, waiting.

I haven't called Apple yet. I am trying to hold out until the 27th - a week from their estimate. As I really don't want to sit on hold unless absolutely necessary. When you called Apple, which department did you speak to? Customer Service or Sales? I have no idea who to direct this to if I do end up having to call.

I'll keep you updated. As for store credit; I'm not sure. I don't think so as they'd be sending out a free replacement, basically.
Please let me know what Apple says when they get back to you.

EDIT: However, what does worry me is that our tracking is identical....and you said UPS told you they lost it. Did you call UPS or ask their Twitter support? I'm hoping they just didn't know what else to tell you, so said it's lost in order to get you off their backs/initiate a trace and stop asking.
I believe other people were told their packages are lost but they ended up eventually showing up. Customer Service is swamped right now and I believe they'd say anything to get someone off their backs.

UPS Support on Twitter told me the following on the 20th:
I'm sorry for the late delivery. The shipment is at the center, waiting to be unloaded. Once unloaded, the shipment will be delivered. I'm sorry for the delay. The center is doing everything they can to have the shipment delivered.^BL

I also have an Apple package stuck at Concord since the 18th.

The facility was already pretty backed up, but I think it might also have something to do with this article. York Region Public Health conducted on-site inspections at the UPS Concord facility on May 14th. There is an outbreak with 21 confirmed cases.

UPS Support on Twitter told me the following on the 20th:

Ah it seems likely that there are more packages waiting in Concord, similar to ours.
I had called UPS on Thursday, and they told me that they would send a note to Concord. I called back on Friday and they said they got a reply on the note and Concord said they don’t know where my package is.
I also called Apple on Friday.

at this point I hope you’re right and that I’ll get it this coming week. I’m not sure anymore!

Ah. When they told you they don't know where it is, if it's on an unloaded trailer, that is likely true. Those things are chock full of packages. I am by no means an expert but I think there's no way they'd be able to locate it until it got unloaded and sorted. So it's probably not "we don't know where it is because it's lost" but "we don't know where it is because it's in a massive unloaded trailer filled with packages".

Apple is aware of the problems. Someone on Reddit mentioned that they too had called Apple regarding their Apple Watch and the agent told them that 60% of their Canadian calls are people complaining about the Concord depot.

That was very helpful, thanks! Please keep us updated on your situation this coming week.
