On another note I see it's another stupid sprint race this weekend. Which is pathetic as the championship could be decided before the actual race. I don't like these sprint races one bit.
Finally something we agree on. Not the Lewis comment. The Sprint races. Not a fan either. It’s a gimmick. Not got one this weekend though.
What's the point of risking cars including the leaders crash out in a pointless 17 lap race.. I hope it's gone next year but I doubt it will be. It's literally just making them qualify twice as an excuse for more racing.
I just checked and your right it's not one this weekend, I glanced the schedule earlier and thought it said we did but it's for F2 qualifying, not F1 thank goodness.

Lewis fastest in practice. Max 4th.
MB faster in qualifying configuration, but RBR had the better pace during race simulation.
Both teams admitted running a bunch of different configurations so P3 tomorrow will likely give us a better view of how things could shake out during qualifying and the race.

Great qualifying for Max! Starting on soft tires, though - how will that play out? If the Red Bull needs a 3-stop strategy vs 2-stop for Lewis?

Yeah they do look like total plonkers! Lewis really thinks he’s a fashion model, erm no, he looks utterly daft! They really need to both stick to the day job… sponsorship at its finest lol. And Max bless him doesn’t exactly have a models looks..
The practice meant nothing, Ocon was faster then both of them. Both cars were turned down for practice.
Red Bull played a blinder there with quail, pole for Max, and Bottas in 6th! Wow that’s not good. He won’t get pass Lando or Perez etc easily.
Max will be able to blitz the start on soft’s but he’s gonna have to pit pretty early. Hmm.. bold strategy.

I think RBR can do a 2 stop if Max can manage the tires well enough on full fuel in the initial part of the race.
Estatic for Lando! Fantastic, and he’s on soft’s too, Lewis is gonna have a real battle at the start from Max and Lando.
My excitement for this race has disappeared now something has come up and I can’t watch it. Oh well, I might just disconnect from everything and watch it delayed but live like I used to do when it was on FTA.

Blinder lap for Max to be sure. Which he needs because he has to run up front to protect his first set of tires.
My expectation is RBR will go Soft-Medium-Soft and AMG will go Medium-Hard for Lewis and probably Medium-Soft-Soft for Bottas to try and move him up.
History/Statistics/Numerology still favor Lewis winning his 8th WDC, but Max has made a strong case for his 1st.

Advantage Max. I think it's probably the best outcome for qualifying and with the soft tyres should mean Max gets away at the start. I think Lewis will be a man on a mission though and still expect him to win his 8th WC tomorrow and then hang up his helmet.
I think Max driving off on the softs and qualifying first might be a safer start for Lewis. At least he won’t have a fast Max on the better starting tyres up his rear so to speak. So it will come down to tyre strategy. Hope it’s a good clean race tomorrow. Glad I can watch it live.

Agreed. I’d imagine Lewis is not thrilled that Lando will be on afterburner into Turn 1 with him. Unless Max blows the start he goes into Turn 1 in P1.
All about tire management tomorrow.
It'll be one very interesting race, and it has plenty of run off's too. The track definitely favours Mercedes though so RB will have there work cut out to win.
