2021 Formula 1 Season Thread

Lando for the win with Lewis second is my preferred outcome. Probably not going to happen though with the pace of the Red Bull and Merc. Then again Max could take Lewis out, get disqualified, Lewis becomes champion and we have Lando, Perez and Sainz podium lol. You never know!

I think Max will drive off into the distance trying to get a pit stop advantage. If Lando gets in front of Lewis at the start he could struggle. But I suspect Lewis will be a comfortable number two, keeping his tyres healthy until Max pits. But if Max can pit and come out number 2 he’ll have a good chance for the win.

Lewie takes the title because max will spaz (it's not an offensive word here in the states) out and DNF. BOT 2nd, PER 3rd, NOR 4th.

Or maybe something completely different... lol.

Well clearly you know it’s an offensive word to many - even if somewhat apparently ignorant in the USA.

It means something completely different here.

It doesn't refer to anyone with disability. It refers to someone doing something stupid.

Like making uninformed assumptions.
 
Good grief watching it on Sky and the dumpster fire that is Crofty is walking around literally shoving his long stick microphone into everyone’s faces asking the, who will win, one of the Alpine drivers I think not Alonso pushed it away as if to say F… o.. and he said to them ‘don’t you dare’.. I really hate the guy, plus his mask isn’t covering his nose and the comments he makes are ssooooooooooo biased against Max when someone says Max. He asked one of the other foreign presenters and they said Max so Crofty said ’nothing like unbiased reporting’… yeah take a look in the mirror mate and you are asking everyone who will win.
Crofty along with Nico are the worst presenters on Sky and co e up with some utter rubbish sometimes, Damon Hill running a close third.

The tall Scottish guy and blonde chap, not Buton, are good I find.

Also great to see a female Ferrari driver is there from F4 and was being interviewed, I see a couple of female drivers have been testing F1 cars too. Don’t know why we do t have female drivers in F1?

Of course I know I want Max to win and you‘ll want Lewis, but as to WHO will win I am really not sure. I think as you say if Max speeds off, and especially if Lando gets in front of Lewis for a bit it’ll all be about strategy. And pit stops and RB has been better at those most of the time, Merc have messed up strategy more then RB, but that doesn’t meant to say it’ll happen today.

Just hope it’s a good race. Not decided by something stupid like a crash or mechanical failure.
Truth is they are both good drivers.
Max will take Lewis’s crown. Might be this year. But if not, it will happen at some point. Lewis can’t go on forever. But will it be today? Who can say.

So the channel 4 broadcast is being hosted by Sky. So sadly I have to put up with it as well….

I think we can all agree if it’s a clean race, both drivers deserve this world championship at this point in time. I just hope it’s an epic race. Hamilton needs to play conservative early on and not go for the first lap overtake.

Agreed. Play the long game Lewis. You can’t compete at the start with the mediums. Just keep a few seconds behind until he stops. Then Hammer time!
 
As with Saudi Arabia, happened to wake up just as they started to head out for the formation lap so no DVR delay for me. :)

(In Seattle so it is 5AM local)
