Yeah, there were some good games, and most all, very pleased that Michigan beat out THE Ohio State :)

Its been a very good year for many smaller colleges, I know a lot of people talk about the SEC and what not, but I found games from the MAC and American were really enjoyable.

I'm rather shocked that Clemson last yesterday - didn't see that one coming.

I think coach Beamer is onto to something there... but I was also surprised although as a VOLS fan maybe I should have sensed something... ? lol

I'm happy that Lane Kiffen opted to stay with Ole Miss. I think he's a good fit there, and conversely Auburn is a tough school. You're competing with Alabama for recruits, have an overly active (and seemingly pushy) group of boosters. Its a hard to school to succeed at. He's set up for success at Ole Miss, imo.

Definitely, I see good things coming. I forget if it was related to Lou Holtz or when Spurrier landed there - people openly questioned the arrival, thinking that it was a dead end job. Saint Lou had some success there, but Spurrier was there a long time and had a lot of success.

Cincy's Luke Fickell heading to Wisconsin and Matt Rhule is going to Nebraska on an 8 year deal.

Pitt destroyed Miami. Not surprising, but didn’t see the point spread being over 30.

Do you think he was just checking the durability of the helmet? Well, regardless, he now has CTE in his future.

Planting the flag, while I did enjoy that, might come back to haunt them next year. But it wasn't as dramatic as when Baker did it.

Love the Tuesday/Wednesday MACtion. :)

My team used to be in the MAC and back then I hated those mid-week games as they were hard to get to with a young child. But now I can sit and watch them on TV, they are great.

Truth be told, I don't know how Ohio state behaved in prior years when they won in Michigan BUT, do you really want to give Ohio State more reasons to try to beat you?

Coach Shaw stepped down at Stanford, and rightly so. He led the program to great success in his time, including two Rose Bowl victories and a number of Pac-12 titles and top 15 finishes, but it's gone totally stale over the past few years. The new landscape of college football is particularly tough for Stanford to navigate, so I hope whoever takes over can bring some new ideas to restore the program's competitiveness.

Hugh Freeze has agreed to a deal to become Auburn's next head football coach. I'd say that he was too good for Liberty. He brought that school to new heights to be sure but he was too good to remain. With that said, I've not really heard good things about Auburn as a school. I guess its a tough place to coach, so his success there isn't a foregone conclusion. They could have done a lot worse, however

I'll be shocked if the committee puts USC over Ohio State (though they should), as lng as they both have he same record. We all know the committee's biases towards the SEC and Ohio State.

I think USC is in good shape, assuming they beat Utah on Friday.

I am so glad Big Blue took it to The Ohio State team. Having to listen to them from the previous seasons, this was a nice win.

I also loved the fact they put USC in front of TOS... Made me all happy and giddy inside!

Records aside, TCU is not better than USC. They should be swapped.

Wrong.

TCU would kick the sh*t out of USC. The first 3 teams behind USC are better than them. The only exception is UT and that's only because QB Hooker is out for the season with a torn ACL. But don't worry, with that #4 ranking USC, and you, are about to play "f*uck around and find out"... ;)

And Georgia is still far and away the #1 team.

The Volunteers are looking rather stout. They play really well at home, and probably have one of the strongest fan bases in all of college football, (Like, it’s sacred religion to attend these games.) I truly believe one of the key ingredients to a successful football team, is having a fan base that is not just supportive, but to the point where they build momentum where you can’t even hear the play calls through a headset.

Yes, but I think they're playing beyond their abilities. I'm not taking anything away from their accomplishments, but it feels awfully Cinderella like, in how quickly they went from laughingstock to powerhouse.

And without Hooker they aren't going to be too formidable.

We'll see what bowl game they get and go from there...

NIL and the transfer portal can make that happen.
People thought that with Texas A&M but look at the year they had. I'm not disagreeing with out, NIL, is a game changer and the transfer portal is just like free agency in the pros.

Still not sure if I'm a fan of it but it does seem to release the players from serfdom...

UTAH ROCKED USC last night!

That'll wreck havoc on the top 6 !
