lol doing what I’m told is easier, the previous posts are confusing for me, I’d be lost trying to login to iCloud. I’m getting older not smarter I guess 🙂

Package tracking updates from UPS MyChoice, then we match scan times with flight tracker websites.

I can track on UPC MyChoice with the order number used to track by reference number but it gives limited info other than delivers 9/16. What am I missing? Lol

It’s not a difference…iTunes doesn’t exist anymore. You plug in your iPhone to computer and it becomes a source in Finder. The synch screen is very close to what iTunes used to look like. Also have to have your phone trust the computer I think.

For many years, only used iTunes to transfer to new phone.

Then iCloud was awesome. Better than i'd experienced with iTunes, and the phone didn't have to be connected to my computer for hours.

And now the phone to phone transfer is the best experience, in my experience.

Things just keep on changing!

I still use the computer backup to archive, and iCloud backup for daily convenience, and the phone to phone to get the new phone into action fastest.

Maybe some year we will get ThunderBolt on the phone, then i'll probably go back to the computer backup and restore.

I wanna do a more fresh migration this time around. Do you keep all the Apple Health and Fitness data, workouts and such doing this? If so, I’m gonna try it.

What is a fresh migration?

If you are doing a transfer, it should sweep up all data and user preferences.

If you're setting it up as a new device and not transferring any data, it would be a new device starting anew.

For what it’s worth regarding delayed scans… my case and apple MagSafe wallet were delivered by UPS this morning and it took 4ish hours for it to update as “delivered”. Both shipped from apple.
