Totally agree especially for the second paragraph. I took off my screen protector for 13pro last week after the preorder you know 🤤 just so I can use it without worrying about losing the coating and getting minor scratches for a week

No reason I can think of, and if anything it reduces the risk of mis-sorting to the wrong truck.
You get it faster, it’s secure in the CC center and there at opening!

Main advantage is you have a bit more control on when YOU go to the CC to get your phone. You don’t have to wait around your home all day until the driver comes. Also, if your driver doesn’t come until after lunch or dinner time, getting your phone as soon as the CC opens, gets it to you 6-10 hours earlier.

I am in a quandary that has nothing but good outcomes that are simply date dependent.
I was going to have wine and dim sum on the 16th with a friend moving back into town. So, when the order window opened I tried for an early pickup at the Apple Store near the dim sum place or late. In the process both times went away so I chose home and by then I was looking at an Sept 28 - Oct 3 delivery window.
Guess who just had to cancel our dim sum wine lunch? Bitter? Hello yeah I am bitter!
But, I also as I age try to go with the flow and just accept things. I adore the guy and not does he feel guilty and I plan to. It let him forget that till I get my iPhone. It’s been in good fun so far.
I have been spamming him with my order screens and plan to do the same with review videos. Also sent him the plan photos saying “this coulda been me”
Might try to chase in store inventory on Friday via pick up but that can be tedious.
Lots of years I hit a speed bump with this order but it always works out in the end.

I’ve just been using the stock Weather app. I think Apple has brought more of Dark Sky into it in iOS 16.
