Those edges look damn sharp in that render. The best thing about the Air is its tapered design that doesn’t dig into your palms or get eroded away like the old MacBook Pros did.

I get that Apple is going hard on the “industrial design square edges everywhere” thing, but I hope it doesn’t come at the cost of sacrificing comfort and utility. Ive isn’t there anymore, Apple, you don’t have to sacrifice utility for the sake of some obsession over some design concept.

Digitimes again copy paste what other real leakers said yesterday
Even a chicken can copy paste nowadays
Digitimes value lies in their hooks into the Taiwanese (and chinese) supply chain.
They are quite dependable when quoting such sources, but typically their sources can’t say if a mini-LED BLU is destined for a 13” MacBook Air, MacBook, MacBook Pro or even iPad Pro. They would typically just know that Apple is looking to source a certain amount of BLUs of a certain type of a certain size.

Likewise, there are long lead times between procurement and sometimes even component production start, and commercial introduction of the finished product.

So it’s wise to seperate source data from speculation based on that source data.

how will M2 compare to M1 pro/max.

would it have 10 cores like pro/max?
Nobody knows.

The only rumour around stated that it would have 4+4 CPU configuration just like M1, but 10 GPU cores (M1 has 8).
The rumour seems plausible if the M2 is related to the A15 as the M1 to the A14. The only problem with it is that anyone could have made that extrapolation, without any insider knowledge whatsoever. Regardless of veracity, given that the M2 will be produced on a similar process to the A15 and will be confined to a similar power envelope, the actual M2 will probably perform in that ballpark. Stuff like monitor and codec support, or type of RAM haven’t been touched on in rumours.
