Its happened a few times before so here’s to hoping.Thank you for the confirmation Ross Young. He has been saying that iMac will be released in the summer for a long time now. Perhaps we might see "One More Thing" in WWDC? Finally a hardware?

We had quite a debate back and forth earlier with the white trim bezel around the LCD display. But it had two advantages over the previous unused black area surrounding the 27" display. As the picture shows any light colored room you seem not have that band of black to distract you as the current 27". That and the white trim you tend to ignore fairly quickly when you are looking at the display screen and it doesn't actually reduce the brilliance/contrast of the display that some people thought black was better doing. The white looks gorgeous!! for the love of god, apple please release an 27-inch version of this! I currently have the 27-inch 2020 edition and I’d love to have the design of the 2021.
I really hate that stupid white bezel. Seeing them side by side like that, the 27” looks so much better. The mere fact that Apple has never provided a 32" display except with the Pro Display XDR. The assumption is that current 27" would some how see a redesign featuring a 30" or even 32" display incorporated. I often thought the 27" form factor that fits on most desks a lot easier had so much wasted space around its display design that it grow to a 29.5" display and Apple would call it the 30". Kinda like how the 24" is actually 23.5".
So we can remember the black area around the 27" iMac.

Its amazing how old the black bezel look is. Goes back to mid 2007 Aluminum iMacs, shown is a 24".I really hope they change this poor ugly design ..
As I said if Apple comes out with something without black bezel you'll get use to it in a day or so. Just like how good the 2021 MacBook Pro looks even with that notch on those 14" and 16" promotion displays. We are all waiting to see what the new model looks like.I really hate that stupid white bezel. Seeing them side by side like that, the 27” looks so much better.
Nobody expects the redesigned larger iMac at the iPad Air/iPhone SE event. The other rumor is just not credible. Kinda like all the rumors saying MBPs we’re going to be announced at last years WWDC, and nothing happening, from several known sources. So now the fellow who broke the new about the MBP having a notch says that the 13.3" MacBook Pro will be the laptop at the 8 March Event and will just swap the M1 for an M2 - so same case, same TouchBar, etc.
Based on that, folks are now speculating if the 13.3" MBP is unchanged going to M2, the Mac mini would also be unchanged and going to M2 and would be one of the two desktops launched at the event, with the other being the Mac mini Pro with M1 Pro and M1 Max.
This would then mean no iMac Pro, which I still believe will be launched at WWDC alongside the Apple Silicon Mac Pro.
I again "lol wut" - If you're buying a Windows laptop with a 1080p 60hz display, you're in the $300-750 range, which means you aren't "debating" anything—you're buying the cheapest functional laptop that you can.So you’re telling me there’s not a metric ton of non-gaming-oriented Windows laptops and even desktops with 1080p 60Hz displays out there in the wild?
But what about the Spanish Inquisition?Nobody expects the redesigned larger iMac at the iPad Air/iPhone SE event.
100% in the same camp as you, I would miss playing PC games in bootcamp - even as the two hours I spent getting the new Cyberpunk update to run which involved having to uninstall and reinstall a multitude of unrelated Microsoft Visual Studio C++ packages really made me again question Windows worth as even a lowly game launcher.I’ve got a decision to make if it’s an Apple Silicon device. (Probably is.) I enjoy playing pc games in BootCamp. My 2020 27 inch iMac is maxed out and I can access things like MSFS 2020 and Red Dead Redemption II. I’ll probably sit tight for awhile.
? I’ve NEVER seen anyone including Apple haters say a bad thing about design of last gen iMacs because they were a design masterpiece. Its amazing how old the black bezel look is. Goes back to mid 2007 Aluminum iMacs, shown is a 24".

The current 27" Retina style came out 2015, 2022 is just begging Apple to cast this look finally away.![]()
You just commented on a bad thing about the last generation iMacs design. So never say never. ?? I’ve NEVER seen anyone including Apple haters say a bad thing about design of last gen iMacs because they were a design masterpiece.
some people will like it but the point is there is a considerable number of people who don’t like this design, this never happened with any of the past iMacs. You just commented on a bad thing about the last generation iMacs design. So never say never. ?
Also just before I saw this image and thought "wow, what a great design".

I was not a fan of the design in the beginning, but it grew on me. I like it more and more and I'm looking forward to have that design (probably with black bezels and sadly not in a red option) on the new larger iMac which will replace my 2015 27" iMac.

I just don't think the M1 processor is so great. There are still many conflicts out there with Microsoft Office programs and even rendering of PDFs on the regular M1 processor. Are the M1 Pro and M1 Max any better with conflicts?
Apple's upcoming iMac Pro with a mini-LED display could launch in June, analyst Ross Young said today. Apple has been working on a larger-screened version of the iMac for months now, and if the June timeline is accurate, it could see a debut at the Worldwide Developers Conference.

Rumors originally suggested that the new iMac could launch in the spring, but Young in late January said that he was expecting a "summer" launch. At the time, Young claimed that panel shipments were expected to begin in June and that a launch could follow in August or September, but he appears to have moved his timeline up.
The 27-inch iMac will be sold alongside the 24-inch iMac as a higher-end version, and to bring it in line with the MacBook Pro, it could be called the iMac Pro. It will feature a mini-LED backlight, and Young today said that he expects it will have "around 1000 zones" and "over 4000 miniLEDs."
Along with a mini-LED display, the iMac is expected to feature a redesigned look and the same M1 Pro and M1 Max chips introduced in the 2021 MacBook Pro models.
