Watching my Jets play is becoming more and more difficult. I came away from last nights game hating football lol..... At least the defense brings me some form of joy.
I have to believe things would have been significantly better though. I know our OL is a patchwork and pretty terrible overall, but having a vet QB out there making pre-snap reads and adjusting protection properly goes a long way with putting a bandage on that. And I agree once you get past Garrett Wilson our receivers are pretty putrid, but Rodgers has always been the type of QB that can work magic with mediocre no name receivers... Plus you can't underestimate the chemistry aspect that he has with Lazard. Also Hackett is just a terrible play caller, the only time he was good was when he had Rodgers out there pretty much changing plays at the line... so much so that it earned him a HC gig... Which as we know was a complete disaster once he got exposed without Rodgers. To be honest, I don't think Rodgers would have fixed everything. You have O line and WR problems too.
Same for me and the RAIDERS.Watching my Jets play is becoming more and more difficult. I came away from last nights game hating football lol..... At least the defense brings me some form of joy.

Yeah the Bills are making me scratch my head. They seemed on the cusp of something great and then... pfft.I think that terrible OL is why Rodgers its out. First series, and he was already running for his life. And the Bills pass rush isn't the most devastating.
My own team, the Bills, aren't much better. I see the results, they barely beat the Giants (who are regular punching bags), they lost to the (now) 2-8 Pats, they lost to both Jacksonville and Cinci, who both got beat at home (the Jags easily) and neither looks like world beaters. I don't think they make the playoffs. In fact, not sure they are even a .500 team. 8-9 seems possible. The only reason I don't rule them out completely is, Miami seems like pretenders too. Great offense, bad defense.
I think their best shot at a championship was dashed in 13 seconds by Patrick Mahomes. I hate to say their window closed because Allen is just hitting his prime but it sure does feel like it has.Yeah the Bills are making me scratch my head. Well until Mahomes, moves on, or declines I think we are stuck in another Dynasty era...I think their best shot at a championship was dashed in 13 seconds by Patrick Mahomes. I hate to say their window closed because Allen is just hitting his prime but it sure does feel like it has.

You can say it. The Bills window is closed. They just fired OC Ken Dorsey, long time coming. The special teams coordinator should go with him. Not just for an inexcusable 12 men on the filed at the end, but its been bad all season.
I still don't see who is going to beat them though.Mahomes isn't lighting the league on fire this season. He's my fantasy league QB, so I see his performance every game. He plays very well, but I've had a few stinkers from him too, like his 8 fantasy points against Denver. His average is 26 points in fantasy when last year, I think it was 35.
KC's 7-2, and a lot of it has to do with their defense, unbelievably.
I feel like ALL the teams are inconsistent this year. They are incredibly inconsistent this season

MIA... maybe...?
CIN... also maybe...? They are incredibly inconsistent this season.

There's only one answer...Given how the AFC is this year, it is going to be the luck of the draw. While, it could have been a fluke, the Broncos did beat them.
wow!
I did not expect that result.
I think Deshaun Watson is a scumbag so I was really hoping they'd lose.![]()
Deshaun has played OK, but not worth the contract and the grief the Browns took in signing him.
I'd love to see the Browns do well just without #4 lol.As a Browns fan, I'm glad they won, but I don't disagree with you both re: Deshaun Watson. He is not worth the acquisition cost and contract especially given his baggage. It was definitely a desperation move by Jimmy Haslam and co (I pin the Deshaun move directly on him), who has proven to be one of the worst NFL owners out there. At least Andrew Berry seems like a competent GM and the coaching staff also seems competent (for once), possibly even good?![]()
Nice to see a moral grounded fan like yourself. So many toxic Browns fans on reddit who feel the need to defend or justify Deshaun just because he is on their team... It's possible to root for your team and want them to do well while at the same time recognizing one of the players is a d-bag as you have demonstrated. Some fans cannot make that distinction and feel the need to blindly defend any player wearing their teams jersey. As a Browns fan, I'm glad they won, but I don't disagree with you both re: Deshaun Watson. Watson hasn't come close to being the elite QB he was in Houston. The Browns got paid a king's ransom for a middle of the road QB.😕 He would have been worth it if--*IF*--gets back to his top 5 QB level of play. The Browns wiffed on 4 1st round QB pick (Couch, Quinn, Weeden and Johnny Football), so trading 4 1st round pick for an elite QB made sense. The problem is, Watson hasn't played at the elite level in Cleveland.I'd love to see the Browns do well just without #4 lol.

Edit: Welp. Watson's season is over; he's going to get shoulder surgery. 4 1st round picks for a QB who has only played a handful of games, most of them bad.

Yep...it's back to the PJ Walker show depending on who they sign. Not sure who's out there that would be an improvement.
Maybe, just maybe, with the defense they have they can squeak into the playoffs, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
