Watson hasn't come close to being the elite QB he was in Houston. The Browns got paid a king's ransom for a middle of the road QB.😕 He would have been worth it if--*IF*--gets back to his top 5 QB level of play. The Browns wiffed on 4 1st round QB pick (Couch, Quinn, Weeden and Johnny Football), so trading 4 1st round pick for an elite QB made sense. The problem is, Watson hasn't played at the elite level in Cleveland.

Edit: Welp. Watson's season is over; he's going to get shoulder surgery. 4 1st round picks for a QB who has only played a handful of games, most of them bad.

Four first round picks. I wouldn't even have given up that much for Tom Brady at his prime. That is steep and hurts your team in so many other ways. Aaron Rodgers didn't even cost that much.

Cleveland wiffed on 4 first round QB picks. Five if you count taking Baker Mayfield instead of Lamar Jackson. Six if you count trading out of the spot that landed the Texans Watson. For a franchise so unlucky* at picking a QB in the first round, it made sense for an elite QB. The problem is they got a QB who might not be elite anymore.

*spending a precious luck point on a d20 luck roll only to roll a 20, unlucky.

Yeah, I think "elite" has long passed him. If he still had "it," he would have started showing it by now. He's had enough time.

That's not even counting the PR damage to signing him.

Bad news. It appears Taylor Swift will indeed be at the Chiefs game on Monday Night Football. Which means 70 cutaways to the Kelce's private box.

Don't get me wrong, I like Taylor Swift. But I can't stand the sideshow that brings to any Chiefs game. I am watching the NFL, not TMZ. What's next, Andy Reid's nuggies?

seconds left and the game won after the Broncos field goal attempt fails.....but 12 men on the field....what a fiasco
Agreed. The Bills did everything they could to lose that game.

That said, I’m glad the Broncos won. We beat the Chiefs and Bills in back to back games.

Agreed. The first week or two, ok fine, cover it. Then let it go. Sick of see her, even in the game recaps they show her!

I've been trying to figure out why this annoys me as bad as it does. I think you may have just nailed it.

I really don't understand why people are so annoyed and up in arms about this tbh. So they cut away to show her in a suite a few times a game big woop. As long as they don't interrupt the actual game play to show her I really could not care less.

I guess a New Yorker--assuming from your tag--is used to the circus, but smaller venues can only take these...distractions...in small dosage. The difference between poison and medicine is the dosage.🤓

Once a game every once in a while. Big pop from the crowd. Multiple time, every game.😓😓

They show Taylor cutaways even more than they show Jerry Jones cutaways now. Yes, it's gotten that bad. (no, I don't care to see Jerry Jones' reaction to plays.)

I said this earlier in this thread, but there is a certain abuse of the NFL and networks of a private relationship. Especially the NFL. Kelce is an employee of the team and the NFL, yet they actually use their relationship in promos. Imagine if your place of work start posting photos of you and your significant other in company ads or something. Or made jokes about it, like game commentators do. It all just seems...sleezy.

Me too.

And, this is funny, I think the RAIDERS will slip in the last spot now...

it's not uncommon for several mediocre teams to make it into the playoffs every year, and this year there are a lot of mediocre contenders. Certainly the Raiders are well positioned to be one of them. A short winning streak at the right time, and they might do it with ease.......of course there are a lot of other teams in the same position, so competition to be the top dog of mediocrity might be fierce.

Aren't the Raiders playing Miami this week? They don't have the easiest schedule ahead of them.
