That was really bad... he then doubled down by going on some weird rant saying that the call ruined Kelce's legacy lol..... I lost a ton of respect for Mahomes after this one I'll be honest.... He sounds like a complete moron basically saying that the refs should not call an obvious penalty because it negates a great play... like wtf are you saying dude? I bet if the shoe was on the other foot and they lost a game because of a non-call he would be irate at the refs. He looked like a complete Jack@$$ and I really hope they get destroyed in the playoffs.

Mahomes gets lots of free calls too, like that non-roughing the passer hit when he was still in bounds. At least the offsides was legit.

The Chiefs are 8-5 and a good lock on a playoff spot. For the Chiefs, I guess that's "adversity." What will happen if the Chiefs ever face real adversity, like missing the playoffs? Yikes.

and it could turn be that a team with a losing record will win the division and move on to the playoffs.....an embarrassing moment for sure

AND get a Home game in the first round.

I wish the Bills had gotten a "warning" for 12 men on the field.

Generally if a WR asks the LJ, they will get confirmation they are OK. But you have to ask. Can't see where he did.

Mahomes today:

“More than anything, I regretted the way I acted toward Josh [Allen] after the game, because he had nothing to do with it,” Mahomes said in an interview with 610 Sports Radio in Kansas City.

“Obviously I’ve seen it now, and if he didn’t check and they weren’t good, it is a foul. It is something you rarely see called in the NFL. But it was a foul, it’s part of playing the game, man. You learn from it, it’s part of being a person, you learn from your mistakes and try to be better next time.”

The man responsible for the NFL today :)

That should've been settled after the way Zappe played at the end of last year, he clearly is the better of the two.

And Frank said hook me up again during that game.

I noted that several sportscasters on streaming SI, YouTube, etc. MENTIONED Mahomes losing his cool but not one of them REPLAYED the incident. I wondered if there was some kind of legality that it couldn't be shown again.

If I were Mahomes, I wouldn't want my temper tantrum to be replayed again and again. I'm glad he semi-apologized to Josh Allen because that really was out of line.

I'm wondering if maybe the fame and celebrity-like status has gotten to their heads a little.... Last couple of years they've been the premiere team in the league and pretty much put on a pedestal.. then you can't go 5 minutes without seeing one of them in a commercial... Then this season it has ramped up x10000 with the whole Taylor Swift thing.

Like I said earlier in the thread, the Chiefs have gone Hollywood.

Justin Herbert done for the year:

Just as well. No sense in getting him really hurt to go 5-12.

He can spend his time getting ready for a new coach next year.

Yeah, the Chargers were a disaster this year.

Despite the rivalry, I liked Mahomes, Ithought he was a decent guy. But the whining from him was disappointing. Even when he and Josh met at midfield after the game, instead of saying great game, Mahomes was still whining. Kelce was classy to Josh though.

He owned up to it today, so I think he's still a decent guy and will let bygones be bygones.

A lot of times, people will give half-hearted non-apologies or try to play it off as passion, or some other BS excuse.

A day late, but he took responsibility, said what he did was wrong, set a bad example and will try to learn from it, which is what needed to be said. But what about Reid?

Staley is probably the first coach fired on black monday

Don't forget, the team is owned by the Spanos family, which gives the Davis family a run for their money. Including civic wars in the owners' suite.

Hire the wrong people, then hold on to them. Staley should have been canned a couple years ago. A talented team, good enough to be tantalizing, but with a defensive coach in charge, who makes some very odd decisions at the worst times.

What is it with the Chargers? They have so many offensive weapons. Even an anerage defense should make them a playoff team. Yet, year after year, mediocrity.

Defensive head coach. Of the 14 teams currently sitting in playoff spots, 11 have offensive head coaches. Not a coincidence.

tis a bit ironic that bad defense, pass defense in particular, is the thing hurting them

IIRC...Staley is in year 3 of a 4 year contract, so if the Spanos family follows their previous pattern, they'll let him finish out the contract instead of paying him to go away while they pay somebody else to coach

Tonight on Prime: The Raiders vs The Chargers. Two teams with the same losing record. Two teams that have recently been discussed on this thread. So...who are you putting your money on? (Figuratively, of course 😀)

Every bad team has an offensive (adjective😁) head coach.
Raiders for sure... With Herbert and Allen both out I don't really know how the Chargers do anything.
Chargers can get into FG range right?😏 The Vikings beat the Raiders last week by 3 points. I mean, by scoring 3 points.😂😭🤣
