Speaking of the Chiefs (weren't we?) did anyone catch the tongue out-wink exchange with Taylor and Kelce? I'm not convinced it really happened at the same time or if our star-struck media just made it look that way, but I just about lost my taco salad on that one. Also, over here in Eastern Oregon, almost EVERY commercial was a State Farm ad starring at least Mahomes or Mahomes and Reid and one with several KC team members in it. IMO it was overkill. I got really tired of seeing those ads. Hollywood, indeed.

I like Taylor Swift and even I'm getting tired of the obsession. Kelce needs to pay attention to his game and stop making googley eyes at Taylor all the time.

It's games like these that make me think the NFL is fixed ...
Not completely disagreed.

But you know what they say, on any given Sunday...

Although it stands to reason the Cowboys would kick 💩 out of the Bills...

Vegas probably loved it, mind I have no idea how any betting works, I'd assume people would have/bet on the Cowboys winning big though...

I think a Ravens v 49ers Super Bowl might actually be fun…
Injuries aside on any team, I think the Ravens won't make it to the SB. They have not played any of the top teams this season, so it was somewhat easy for them to get where they are now. That being said, they're playing the 49ers next week and the Dolphins a week later.

As for the 49ers, the best thing they can do right now is play careful and not risk injuries in the rest of the regular season. The last thing they need are injuries. They should rather take a loss than risk it.

Interesting note that given Jackson's propensity to get injured, the Ravens are the only team in the Division that hasn't lost their starting QB due to injury. The Bengals are on #2, the Steelers also on #2, but might go to #3 and the Browns are on #4.

Anyone who has played football, even at high school level, knows that it is a game of emotion. The Bills had everything to play for, the Cowboys already guaranteed a playoff spot. Plus, the Cowboys road record is terrible (3-4).

So, nothing unusual happened.
lol

No, that is unusual. I'll give you that it's not unprecedented, but that's a crazy result and one that I bet the bookies would love. Everyone betting on DAL to crush them then boom! BUF wins big.

That is game fixing. That is illegal.

Not really. Say you're 4th and inches, do you punt the ball and take a loss or force a QB sneak with a high risk of injury? The 49ers did exactly that, which resulted in a concussion for Purdy, a loss of the game and another loss the next game. All because they wen't for that QB sneak and injured Purdy in the process. No one can force you to take a high risk of injury. Just play it safe, run the ball or punt and take the loss if that means healthy players down the road. That's for the regular season of course.

Yes really.

Game fixing.

yeah it's not making sense.

I'm not saying that.

And true on any given Sunday etc etc Just looks sketchy to me.

But not winning on purpose is the definition of game fixing. As a fan you shouldn't want that.
I agree about it seeming sketchy sometimes.

And, yeah, not winning on purpose is the exact definition of fixing a game.

Yeah, he is pretty good. I wouldn’t be surprised if some teams make a move to get him during the offseason.

It does seem to be a path for QBs to get a chance as a backup due to someone’s injury and then to make a name for themselves. Jimmy Garoppolo at one point looked like a good buy…

That's not what I said. I said rather take a loss than take high risk of injury. That's different from not winning on purpose. In a SB or playoff game, they have to take every chance, even if there's a 75% chance someone will get hurt. In a regular season game, that's just not worth it unless you're fighting for the playoffs.

It isn’t a guarantee, but at least teams have seen what he can do at the Pro level. Very different from college draftees.
