Look elsewhere. Invasive CGMs from Abbott and Dexcom last 10-14 days... and the little mentioned Eversense all have skeptical accuracy within 20%. An answer off your wrist in a non-invasive way seems far off. We're still years from the Dexcom CEO mentioning direct to Apple Watch readings would be coming soon.Diabetics control would be a really huge improve.
You don't have to buy the new watch. Just continue enjoying your bands on your existing watch... I know people who are still using the series 0 with no issues. They better not change the band mechanism. I have over 50 oem bands, and there is that one guy here that has hundreds. We will not be happy about this!
The standard watch has been on a 3 generation design cycle from the start though so it is due. I wouldn't expect anything groundbreaking, but it will at least be a tweak to the design that has been used for the Series 7, 8 & 9. Whether that means another screen size change, or perhaps adoption of some of the Ultra design cues.I am not convinced. We have heard this news before.
It is certainly possible. If it does happen, I would be curious to see whether or not the current watch band set up is impacted. The standard watch has been on a 3 generation design cycle from the start though so it is due. A wrist is fairly thin, unlike a head. Because of that, the temperature being measured would be too easily influenced by the air outside. One thing that you could do to help would be to use two thermometers. The first measures your wrist. The second measures the outside temperature. The problem with that is, when you get cold, your arteries tend to restrict, keeping more of your body heat in your core. The two thermometer solution helps. I think Apple currently is using it. The benefit while real is limited. The better solution is for the watch to measure your temperature in your head. How would you do that? Earpods. I think Apple is already going with this solution too.Ha well alright then sounds like you’ve got a pretty good idea about it. Maybe this will be easier than temperature sensing. Since you seem educated on the subject, what about that? How’s the wrist for getting an idea of actual body temperature?
