First a blue iPhone 15, and now new emojis. What wondrous times we live in. How beauteous mankind is! Oh brave new world, that has such people in it.

While I wait for release, I shall play some Centrifugal Bumble-puppy.

In light of the recent court case where 👍was interpreted as agreement to a contract when the recipient claims to have meant "I've received your offer" we need a "message received" emoji. Like on the radio when they reply 'Roger' to mean I heard and understand you, and only that. Control 6 in ASCII was ACK, What would an ACK emoji look like?
There isn't one/won't be one. Gestures and body movements have cultural interpretation.

Thumbs up in some culture someplace is likely is the same as the middle finger in western culture. Head nodding means "I am still listening" in some cultures, even if they are very much opposed to what you are saying.

By the time Apple the Unicode Consortium is finished, there will be an emoji for everything, and we will be back to using hieroglyphics.:
FTFY. Apple is one of the members of the Unicode Consortium, to be sure, but the reason Apple adds new Unicode characters (like Emoji) to iOS/iPadOS/macOS is because the Unicode Consortium has added them to the official standard, and Apple is obliged to support the standard.

I wouldn't mind if we had several hundred fewer emoji - it got way out of hand a long time ago. (Hell, I was happy enough with "(-:"-style ASCII Emoticons). But the solution to "no more emoji" is to talk to the Unicode Consortium.

I totally agree with this. There’s already too many of them and most of them are useless. Adding more will make it even harder to find the right emoji while typing than it already is. They really need to remove some of them instead of adding more.

I started to use emojis as tags or glyphs symbols for headings in my notes to identify my notes when scrolling really fast. So I hope they introduce more symbols and objects too

I disagree. What they should do is let you pin emojis that a user can choose to reserve.

This is a phoenix. Whatever TF Apple has there is anything but.
