Hey man, our program is nothing to sneeze at!Nevada Lost to Middle Tenn!!
I'm hoping tonight's game is decent, but I won't be holding my breath. I think tomorrow night's games look a whole lot more interesting. I like Rutgers, so I'll probably tune into that game, but I'm curious to see ouw Oklahoma State bounces back.

There are certain colleges that have clear biases with the people who rank the colleges and picks for the playoffs - Alabama, ND are two examples.how is ND still in the top 25?
yupThere are certain colleges that have clear biases with the people who rank the colleges and picks for the playoffs - Alabama, ND are two examples.
I gotta say I figured Iowa would win that one...I'm a bit shocked and disappointed that Rugters fell to Iowa.
I was watching Tulsa at Oklahoma state and while espn were singing the praises of Mike Gundy as they fell to Tulsa for the first time in decades. He was 3-9 last year and so far he's 1-2. That coaching seat may be getting a bit warmer then it has in recent years - especially since his benefactor T. Boone Pickens isn't around.
And certain colleges that have Unbiased (is that a word? It is now...) from the same people...being one of the few from the west coast, how did Oregon fall two numbers DOWN when they won all their games handily? The powers that be never liked the Pac-12 and they REALLY didn't like it when the Pac-12 came into the Big 10 and went to number one. Also, It's been said that the quality of the teams Oregon has played thus far have something to do with the fall. I don't know...just seems off to me.There are certain colleges that have clear biases with the people who rank the colleges and picks for the playoffs - Alabama, ND are two examples.
If its not the SEC, then your college doesn't count.how did Oregon fall two numbers DOWN when they won all their games handily? The powers that be never liked the Pac-12

At any rate, today is the Civil War (Oregon [3-0] vs Oregon State [0-3]) and I'll be wearing my Duck gear, of course.

I gave up on pregame and postgame shows a long time ago. I just want to watch the games.College Game Day on espn is a mere shadow of its old self … the addition Pat McAfee and the departure of Lee Corso have really brought this once great tentpole of the network to its knees IMHO …
"It's been something like 50 years since both Indiana and illinois were both in the top 25 at the same time."
My quick search turned up that the last time they played each other when both were ranked was 1950. That's not to say that they haven't both been in the top 25 until now, just that they haven't met as ranked teams since then. Yeah, that's a long time!
I'm an Illinois alum, but from the 70's (BA) and 80's (MA). I wasn't even born yet in 1950.
I was shocked at how poorly showed up, they got destroyed and I don't think its because 19th ranked Indiana is that much better then 9th ranked Illinois. I think part of the issue is that Bret Bielema's teams seem to not show up in big games, though this is the worst loss that has occurred for Bielema"It's been something like 50 years since both Indiana and illinois were both in the top 25 at the same time."
lolSome thoughts on the Clemson loss. Before the season started they were projected to be one of the favorites to vie for the national championship
The team has had 7 turnovers in 3 games, and the defense doesn't seem awe inspiring. They seem to be playing sloppy.
I guess this rant is ringing a bit hollow: Dabo Swinney defends team, says Clemson can 'send me on my way' if it's 'tired of winning'
Its true, with him running things Clemson has not had a losing season, but their last national championship win was in 2018 and since then their bowl game record is 2-4. Not something that will get him fired to be sure, but the good will he generated 6 years ago is being (or has been) evaporated and its no longer good enough just to have a winning record. He needs to show some post season success, yet in 2025, he's currently 1-3 overall, and has not beaten an ACC team yet. The criticisms will only get louder, until they put together a string of wins
Their up and coming games should give them some respite, UNC, BC, SMU and Duke should all be wins for Clemson. In fact the rest of the season is rather easy for Clemson, which will no doubt hurt their efforts to try to make it into the playoff talks, i.e., strength of schedule.
Pac12 never really interested me as a conference, but I will say that Oregon does makes some exciting plays and its an interesting game to watchI didn't care for the Oregon unies at all
Don't even get me started, @pachyderm ! My family finally had to tell me to get over it because I was bitching about those damn uniforms! It was CIVIL WAR for crying-out-loud...they needed to wear their school colors! Grrr,...oh well, we kicked OSUs behind so that's what matters most, but...I HEAR YA!View attachment 2555155
All the games that I was able to watch were boring. And I'm sorry to say @C0ncreteBl0nde I didn't care for the Oregon unies at all. Give me green and yellow!
I'm actually shocked
Sources: Oklahoma State fires head coach Mike Gundy
Here's his record from 2020 record, his overall record is 170-90 and in 2023 he was 10-4. Last year was bad, and this year is turning out to be about the same. I'm still shocked given that he's been doing a fantastic job.
