2025 Formula One Season Thread

Saturday a bit of the wet stuff on the crappy track, Sunday, hot n sunny all day.. "insert swear words" has many of the same letters as in duck, and one from feather..

I like to think that with no VSC and SC, Oscar would have eventually been in a position to run Max down after the planned one stop when both were in traffic working their way back up.

I was more thinking before that. He was slow, very slow to get away.

A C6 and C1 tyre for example, as wide a range as possible, so you are deciding between pace to start or pace at the end.. and a long stint, but the problem.. Monaco is too short an event.. hence the 400km or 3 hours... Monaco is way too short a race...

Pirelli is considering adjusting the tire allocations so that instead of being consecutive, they would skip a step. So you would, say, have the C1, C3 and C5 or the C2, C4 and C6 as the Hard, Medium and Soft options.

Disney is a bit of a strange decision, but whatever, all just part of the show, I like the idea of C1/C2/C6.. All 3 compounds in the race.. 2 pit stops..

Under Liberty's management, F1 has added literally millions of fans aged 8-12 and has grown its presence in the under-25 category significantly. Rather than pay FOM $100 million-plus for two more years of broadcasting on ESPN in the US, they can use that money to spread the Disney brand around the world via an F1 partnership.

Not quite sure how Goofy helps F1 grow anything.. Maybe time to retire the rat and go for ducks or dogs..

1 place grid penalty for Stroll after his bizarre incident with after his collision with Charles Leclerc in FP1..
 
Left right oh....PaistryPies puts it into the wall.. Would have thought by now he would have figured out that steering only happens when the tyres are rolling..
 
The Softs are lasting longer than it did at Imola, so I expect most teams to go Soft, Soft and then Medium for the final stop.

LeClerc has to be the favorite for Pole, with qualifying now underway.
